The room was quiet, clean and roomy. The evening meal was excellent value for money with good quality food and good size portions. Breakfast again was good quality, excellent service and lovely out look over the pond.

It was perfect for what we wanted to do. It was just off M6 with all access to Windermere, Scotland and Keswick. Not many grocery stores or eateries to choose from in Tebay, so make sure you pick something up. Quaint little village. The host provided a little basket of breakfast items to start us off- very kind

A lovely little cottage in a beautiful quiet little town, with the added bonus of being seconds from the motorway for onward travel. Both indoors and outdoors were welcoming and relaxing, with all we needed for a short stay.

A very comfortable one-night stay in rural surroundings. Despite a quite late arrival, the restaurant was able to accommodate us for a superb dinner.
Days Inn Kendal is located just off the M6, attractively located beside Killington Lake. The hotel offers many rooms with scenic Lakeland views with free Wi-Fi and free parking.

A perfect spot to enjoy the Lakes whilst only minutes from the M6. Quiet location and I had views into the countryside.
Lovely fresh breakfast and perfect leaf tea.
The hosts couldn’t have been better and went out of their way to help me.

I travel up and down the M6 to/from Hereford to Oban fairly regularly. It’s a long an arduous journey particularly in the winter. Westmorland is a godsend of a hotel almost exactly half way and is an oasis of comfort and warmth literally at the side of the motorway. I love the convenience, the comfort, the friendliness and the fact you feel you are on the moors and a million miles from a motorway. You could not wish for a better night stop to recharge your batteries. Be sure to ask about the secret road between north and south services especially for hotel customers- so you can easily access the hotel when travelling south (because hotel is on M6 North)

Tebay services…. what a fabulous cocooning experience!
Tebay services…. what a fabulous cocooning experience! I came off the M6 on a wild wet dark evening and stepped into simple luxury and contemporary cosiness - I left the next morning early, completely restored.
I was journeying from the borders of scotland to the south coast and realised I’d run out of energy for the drive- an unplanned stop- but having experienced sitting by the open fire with my book after a delicious simple supper, slept in a divine comfortable bed, a nice hot bath -a delicious breakfast - i’ll make the time to stop here EVERY time i pass from now - special thanks for the gluten free and vegan options tebay!

There was a well stocked farm shop within walking distance, a great pub which was reasonably priced with a good menu. The food was delicious, it had an outdoor beer garden and lit up seating area, a play park for the kids, it played great music and had a good atmosphere, everyone was so friendly.
Tebay has many local walks, it is in the perfect location, in between the Lakes and Yorkshire Dales.

Central location, ideal for exploring the area.
Central location, ideal for exploring the area. Hotel very good. Service top class. Plenty of breakfast options. Can eat at service station at any time. Good variety to choose from. Recommend the farm shop. Food any local crafts available.
We were only there overnight but had a really warm welcome in the evening (even though it was late!) and at breakfast. The room was really nice and clean with super comfortable beds and en-suite. It was dark and quiet so we slept really well and came down to a delicious breakfast. The house backs on to open moorland which was perfect for a dog walk before we left. It was raining in the morning so there was a log burning stove at the entrance to warm you if you got wet.
A convenient and comfortable way to break up a long journey from Scotland to the south west of England. Great that they’re dog friendly and the surroundings are beautiful.
The staff were really friendly, the food was really nice and the whole experience felt comfortable and relaxing. All of the qualities of Tea Bay Services were there, so if you like those, you’ll like this hotel.

The Old School is a great B&B for stop-over on a long drive. Clean room, nothing fancy and great breakfast.
Cross Keys pub is a 5 minute walk so perfect for an evening meal. Fuel station in the village is great too, part of the Tebay Services family - diesel here a lot cheaper than at the motorway stop.
Great location, approx 5-10minutes from Tebay Services and the M6. Remote location with plenty of privacy. Loved the open plan living room and kitchen facilties. The design of the barn, the games room and sauna/steam room all very good features. The design / decor were impressive and well thought out.
Good sized room and en-suite shower room, comfortable bed and good breakfast, owners where friendly and chatty. Biggest asset is that dogs are welcome. The location is perfect for a stop if you're travelling up/down the M6 but also to explore the area, great for walking the dogs in the morning.
Our room was extremely comfortable and quite large. Very quiet. The window opened wide -- always a plus. The hotel's location in an idyllic setting was pleasing. The bar casual and inviting. The appointments contemporary and lovely to the eye.
The Westmorland Hotel could not be more conveniently located for those travelling on the M6, given that it is adjacent to the Tebay Services. Our room was spacious and comfortable. We also had dinner at the hotel, which we enjoyed very much.
Friendly host who was flexible about our arrival time and very helpful in advising us where to find a good-value evening meal in Tebay. He provided an excellent cooked breakfast the following morning. The room was clean and comfortable.
dinner and breakfast were both excellent. The room was stunning .We used the Westmorland as a rest stop ,value for money does not describe it properly.Worth a long drive just to stay there
I like the values on which the whole enterprise stands. The location is good. And the Farm Shop attached to the services attached to the hotel..second to none
No breakfast as chefs were having a well earned holiday no problem as we had our breakfast at Tebay services.
Staff very friendly in the hotel and services
Easy to access location just off the M6 junction near the famous Tebay services. Quiet and attractive rural situation with a pub within 10 minutes walk.
