Three Queens Hotel, hotel in Swadlincote

The Three Queens Hotel is set near to the centre of Burton-upon-Trent, an area best known for its brewing industrial heritage. There is also free parking on-site and free WiFi throughout the hotel.

I loved the location of the hotel. Close to Aldi, B&M and other shops at Burton Place. My reason for staying at the hotel is because I take part in the sport of Archery and have been wanting to see the Merlin Archery store.... I loved how close it was and could just walk up the road. Bed was comfortable, bedroom was clean with TV. Kitchen was fully equipped in the Catherine suite With cutlery, kettle, toaster, fridge, freezer, microwave and oven, this was something I was worried about before arriving. Receptionists were helpful. Fresh towels in the bathroom every day.

Swadlincote is a good centre for countryside and riverside walks. It is handy for Derby, Ashby de la Zouch, Leicester and especially Burton-on-Trent. Burton is an excellent shopping centre. There is a lovely park by the river. You can take a tour of the local Brewery and have a lovely lunch, or snack in the tap house. The National Memorial Arboretum is very close just off the A38, and should not be missed - a tranquil and beautiful setting for memorials, not only to the Armed Forces but also the Police, victims of the Twin Towers, and many others.
