Having stayed here before, facilities were good. In need of some updating bit tired in places but for 3 star was ok.
The housekeeper was amazing she stayed past the end of her shift and helped me move all mine and daughters things including the travel cot, extremely helpful !
Use of the gym and pool facilities.

I was walking the Cleveland Way and used the Royal Oak for an overnight stop. The hotel staff were very helpful and welcoming, the evening meal was excellent. I was alone, but I had a double room, very spacious for two let alone one person, it was comfortable and quiet. Good choice for breakfast. Can definitely recommend this hotel

Nice market town.
Nice market town. The staff at OYO Leven were unsure about parking regulations. The town does have free parking. Best to check with a local shop about parking. Some shops not open, some pubs not open. But can recommend the chapters deli for breakfast and courteous staff. The Green Man pub for a drink.

The village was ideal as a base for exploring the local area. I used a car for convenience but public transport is available to all the local areas. Car parking is free in the high street!
The walk along the river Leven is very pleasant and I enjoyed visiting the varied shops in the high street. I had a very enjoyable meal at the Leven hotel and a pub meal at The Mill both very good food reasonably priced.

Stokesley is a lovely village with a charming high street and very friendly locals. The takeaway options leave a lot to be desired with YThai and China Wok being the best options.
Unfortunately pubs werent open due to C19 however given the friendly locals would imagine a good atmosphere.

It isn't huge but we spent the morning pottering around poking into different shops. There was also a gallery on at the village hall which was good to look around. Don't go on Mondays though, because half the places are closed, but apprently there is a market on Fridays according to the parking signs, but we weren't there then.

The staff were very welcoming and friendly.
The staff were very welcoming and friendly. The restaurant and bar had an excellent choice of food and drink and a great atmosphere. The en suite room was very good. The hotel has a pharmacy and a coop with a cash machine nearby. We were offered transport to the railway station or the nearest part of the Cleveland Way where we could continue the long distance walk.
The hotel room was big and spacious. We stayed here while doing the Cleveland way, there is a free pick up from clay bank to the hotel and they also drop you off back at the start of the trail. The staff were really lovely. We had to change the drop off time in the last minute and they were very happy to accommodate for that change too. Breakfast choices were great. We also had dinner there which was very tasty and big portion too. Enjoyed our stay here.
The location of the property was fantastic, right in the centre of Stokesley. It was super spacious and modern inside, with all the fantastic finishing touches to the decor. Beds were really comfortable for a great night’s sleep. Rosie was a fantastic host giving us all the details we needed for our stay.
While the hotel is being refurbished mainly in the public areas there was no mention of a temporary kitchen. The only food we had was breakfast and it was cooked OK.
Rooms were Ok, bathroom clean, but bedroom was again tired and old. furniture from a few decades ago.
The property is located in Stokesley centre, with nearby shops and restaurants. Room was comfortable, clean and well appointed and cannot fault the staff for being helpful and informative. Convenient 10 minute taxi ride from the moors if you're a walker!
Great hotel in a wonderful location. Comfortable rooms although the decor is a bit old. Friendly staff and an excellent restaurant with an extensive menu. The breakfast was also very impressive, with everything coming from local suppliers.
Comfortable house is great location. First time visiting Stokesley and really impressed with the area. House was a few minutes from great bars, restaurants and independent shops, but down a lane off high Street so lovely and quite at night.
We reaIly enjoyed our stay in the Old Post Office in Stokesley..the accommodation was great and it had all we needed as a base for the night on the way to our holiday in Scotland..I look forward to staying again in the future..
Not a lot apart from the location was good as I had a weekend of meetings in Stokesley. Did not have any meals at the hotel as I ate out, so can't comment on that aspect. Bed was clean and comfortable.
Very well equipped and spotlessly clean. Great location to explore the beautiful area with all the facilities of the pretty market town of Stokesley on your doorstep.
