For a cheap and cheerful stay this is your place! Staff were really lovely and helpful. Food was spot on and also the free brekky included in the price hit the spot.

An ok stay really. Receptionist quite unhelpful. Was told no food because chef was away on holiday! When asked if she could point to anywhere local we could get food she replied - no not really.
Rooms were clean if very dated and shower didn’t work.
Breakfast was ok.

We went to Alton Towers which was great but extremely expensive and very crowded so only managed 3 rides, due to the queing times.
Didn't really see much more of Stoke apart from our hotel, which was very nice.

As previously stated - there was nothing positive in the slightest. However, on reading some other reviews (wish I’d read them before booking) it was reassuring to see similar comments and photographs. As for those people giving it 9/10 and 10/10 reviews are either from the hotel, or being paid to write a totally dishonest review. The place is desperate…and no matter how you try to dress it up - it is not fit for purpose and should be removed from booking.com

My husband chose the holiday.
My husband chose the holiday. I booked the hotel and its location as I was born in Stoke on Trent. It was near to Wedgwood World and other attraction we wanted to visit. The area has changed vastly since I lived there and we relied on a Satnav to get around by car. We stayed for 4 nights. On the last day we visited Trentham gardens shopping centre which was well worth the visit. However, we spent more time there and didn't get to see the gardens which were done by Capability Brown. The swimming pool we used to visit when I was a child was long gone and I would have been interested to visit the gardens. We would stay in this hotel again due to its convenient location.. Stoke on Trent is the 'Potteries'. It's industrial era cam to a close in the 20th century with its coal mines closes, pottery firms moved out and the Shelton steel works closed down. I haven't lived there for over 50 years and it was good to come back to see the town is still thriving. I did not visit the Stadium or Regent Theatre. I did visit Moorcroft and Middleton potteries. We would have visited Gladstone pottery but it was closed.
The rooms were clean to a high standard,
All staff and management were excellent friendly and caring my partner took really poorly while staying here and had to be took to stoke royal , the staff where excellent thoughtful and kind during this happening and we're going above and beyond to ensure we were okay.... The staff and management are a credit to this hotel thank yous so much we Appriciate everything
The breakfasts are nice aswell well cooked nice runny eggs... Perfect thankyous all again
Had a lovely stay with my partner and his family before our visit to Alton Towers. The hotel exceeded our expectations. Staff were wonderful and friendly. The restaurant had nice food with great vegan/vegetarian options. The rooms were really well appointed and comfy. We didn't visit the town so not sure about the proximity of the hotel to the center but it was a 5 minute taxi ride from the train station and minutes to Alton Towers. Overall, this is a really good value for money option in Stoke.
I've been staying at this hotel when visiting Stoke-On-Trent for 17 years. The rooms have always been clean, the staff go to extra levels to make sure you feel comfortable and welcome. It's really great value for money considering that the other hotels in the area are double or triple the price.
I won't stay at another hotel personally.
Breakfast was excellent although no dishes or spoons were put out for the cereals and we had to ask...minor issue.well positioned for going to different potteries and museums which was good.
Good value for money although next time I would go direct to the hotel to see if we could get it cheaper.
Cosy, comfortable apartment with everything we needed for a short stay. Very powerful shower and good WiFi. Short walk from Stoke Station and close to shops for Stoke specialities London Road Oatcakes and Wright's pies. Sandra (manager) was very helpful and self-check in was straightforward.
the hotel is well places for Newcastle Under Lyme and Stoke on Trent. It’s is really well run, lots of staff who are very approachable and willing to help. the restaurant is lovely with a very good menu and good food and wine. The bar is spacious and open for guests at times that suit.
the staff were excellent, the restaurant food was very good, the room was very comfortable and good view out to the drive. I could find no fault in any area. the large lounge downstairs was the most beautiful room I have ever sat in a hotel beautifully decorated and a log fire.
The staff were so helpful and friendly from the receptionists to the friendly bar staff. I stayed with my mum for a couple of days on a virgin experience including the steam train and really enjoyed it. The hotel was close enough to the train station.
This is nice hotel to stay and wonderful location you can easily go to town. The bus stop is near your hotel .The management system is very well specially the name of the person sujoy is very nice person.Sujoy help me and guide me very nicely
Budget hotel, reasonable price for the facilities. Opposite the railway station. Clean and warm room with view to the front of the hotel. Friendly staff.
Good if you just want an inexpensive place to stay.
Staff couldn't have been more helpful or kind - nothing was too much for anyone.
This is a cheaper hotel of course but the communal areas were comfortable and the rooms were fine 😊
Good value, good location. Hotel has interesting interiors based on industrial heritage. Very good value place to stay in an excellent central location. Sandra was very helpful.
