Staff on front desk and in the restaurant were amazing, friendly, helpful and happy. Nice clean room and sofa bed was already made up. Parking available. Food available. Close to Alton Towers, close to Tesco, Aldi and fuel. Cooked breakfast included continental and you could help yourself. Would stay again.
In a peaceful, rural location, this country house was originally built in 1845. Today, the house has been converted into a luxurious privately owned hotel with many beautiful original features.

Located in a Quaint little pub. Justin who was there to greet us on arrival and during our stay was brilliant, a great representation for the owners. anything we asked was dealt with quickly and graciously. Such a warm welcome when drinking in the bar. Great chats with Justin and the locals too. The room itself was well equipped and storage for clothes and case. spacious en-suite and water pressure in the shower was excellent (wish my own was as good at home). Fully equipped Kitchen to use including washing machine and dryer. Breakfast supplies plentiful and catered to different dietary requirements with gluten free cereals. But if there was anything you wanted that wasn’t there or Lidl and Sainsbury’s was an easy walk just down the road. Bus stop nearby to go into stoke city centre. train station was a 15min walk at most.

The property was set in a secluded and peaceful location, beautiful views and the hosts were so friendly and welcoming. Had access to a bar area, with TV, juke box and karaoke machine.
The hut itself was really cosy and relaxing. Would love to stay again.

We went to Alton Towers which was great but extremely expensive and very crowded so only managed 3 rides, due to the queing times.
Didn't really see much more of Stoke apart from our hotel, which was very nice.

As previously stated - there was nothing positive in the slightest. However, on reading some other reviews (wish I’d read them before booking) it was reassuring to see similar comments and photographs. As for those people giving it 9/10 and 10/10 reviews are either from the hotel, or being paid to write a totally dishonest review. The place is desperate…and no matter how you try to dress it up - it is not fit for purpose and should be removed from booking.com

My husband chose the holiday.
My husband chose the holiday. I booked the hotel and its location as I was born in Stoke on Trent. It was near to Wedgwood World and other attraction we wanted to visit. The area has changed vastly since I lived there and we relied on a Satnav to get around by car. We stayed for 4 nights. On the last day we visited Trentham gardens shopping centre which was well worth the visit. However, we spent more time there and didn't get to see the gardens which were done by Capability Brown. The swimming pool we used to visit when I was a child was long gone and I would have been interested to visit the gardens. We would stay in this hotel again due to its convenient location.. Stoke on Trent is the 'Potteries'. It's industrial era cam to a close in the 20th century with its coal mines closes, pottery firms moved out and the Shelton steel works closed down. I haven't lived there for over 50 years and it was good to come back to see the town is still thriving. I did not visit the Stadium or Regent Theatre. I did visit Moorcroft and Middleton potteries. We would have visited Gladstone pottery but it was closed.
The staff were very helpful and welcoming when we arrived. The location is excellent, within easy walking distance of the King’s Hall in Stoke, in which there was an event taking place that we were attending. Potbank is a complex with a converted warehouse where the aparthotel is situated, above an excellent cafe/bar/bistro, which we ate at and which had live music. The accommodation itself is quite basic but quiet and fine for 1-2 nights. Would recommend this place and would stay again if have reason to be in Stoke again.
I just can't fault the weathervane hotel the staff are very friendly and very helpful it's in the perfect location for alton towers we had a bed and breakfast room and the breakfast selection was perfect for all taste buds 👌 my daughter is a fuzzy eater ! The rooms are a fair size and the beds are comfortable with nice duvets and the prices are very competitive but I do normally find the weathervane is the cheapest .....
We’ve stayed at BW Stoke for the weekend on route for a wedding in Leek. Our stay was superb,we were upgraded to a Imperial Room. The room check in was a little bit late and we were given drinks vouchers.Staff was very friendly and polite.Room nice and cosy .Very good location in the hear of the city centre e car park facility great. In overall 5 stars
It was comfortable, cosy even. It was quiet onthe whole, certainly during the night. Really comfortable bed/pillows - slept very well. Sun streaming in in the morning. All I needed for living. Felt like a home rather than hotel room. Neighbours I bumped into very friendly. Central location is superb.
Breakfast was excellent although no dishes or spoons were put out for the cereals and we had to ask...minor issue.well positioned for going to different potteries and museums which was good.
Good value for money although next time I would go direct to the hotel to see if we could get it cheaper.
the hotel is well places for Newcastle Under Lyme and Stoke on Trent. It’s is really well run, lots of staff who are very approachable and willing to help. the restaurant is lovely with a very good menu and good food and wine. The bar is spacious and open for guests at times that suit.
The hotel has plenty of on site parking and the location is great for visiting Stoke-On-Trent.
The staff are polite, efficient and professional.
Facilities are good and the food at breakfast and at dinner was very good.
Our room had nice decor and was spacious enough for one night.
It was nice that they had a pool. The reception was open 24 hours and so was the bar. The parking was decent and there was a little playground outside for the children. The TV had a decent amount of channels. And it wasn't loud there like it can be at some "cheap" hotels.
Brilliant staff. Great location directly opposite the station, although there does seem to be quite a bit of antisocial behaviour outside the front of the hotel on the benches. But then again, for Stoke it isn't that bad! Pet friendly and good rate. Parking.
This is a big hotel, with very large airy rooms, restaurant and bar - felt very clean and comfortable. The staff are exceptionally helpful and friendly. Every effort made to compensate for ongoing renovation and lack of some amenities.
