The bedrooms are across the car park. Any noise from the pub could not be heard. Breakfast was very good with a choice of the usual items. The scrambled egg was excellent. Dinner in the evening was of good quality. The food was always hot served by friendly staff. The beer was excellent.

Located in the heart of beautiful Kent hop country, but we didn't have the opportunity to explore as we simply booked the accommodation for the night, prior to attending a wedding the following day ~ & then straight home to our smallholding in very rural mid-west Wales.
Lovely location in quiet village of Staple, very welcoming from all staff, good inexpensive restaurant. Breakfast was very good & included in room rate.
Bedroom good for short stay although beds slightly uncomfortable but ok.
Pet friendly with large garden area for sitting out for a drink etc.
Fantastic bar and restaurant, outstanding food and hospitality from all the staff and the locals that were drinking in the bar at evening time , breakfast was the best I’ve had in a hotel . Very quiet location with comfy bed . Couldn’t ask more
