The rooms were very basic but did the job and were fine for an overnight stay. The staff are super friendly and very accommodating. Check in was very smooth, and checking out couldn’t have been easier.

Nice village with bus stop right outside pub, to Heanor (3 miles away), or Derby in app direction (6 miles away). Good bus service too!
Big Tescos with metro; in Heanor.
Derby is excellent for shopping, and there's an Ikea in Eastwood which is about 15 mins away ...along with big brand shopping & eating complex.
Great park in village for kids only around the corner (right out of pub and first left and 7 or 8 houses down on the right ...about 2 min walk) with football pitch.
Across the road from this (going out of bottom corner of park) across the road into entrance by the woods, its another park, green space, tennis courts and cricket pitch - all well maintained ...woodland walking too.
