Formally an 18th century coaching inn, The Fleece Inn includes original features such as old oak beams and fireplaces. Lancaster city centre is a 15-minute drive, and the university is just 6km away.

This was our second visit to the Fleece Inn. It's in a great location and makes a great stop for us when we travel up to Scotland. It's close enough to the main road, but is in a quiet location. Rooms are nicely decorated and very clean. Huge bathroom! My husband loved the fish platter the last time we visited, and had it again this time. Staff friendly.
The Mill at Conder Green is a charming canal-side, hotel, bar and restaurant located just 4 miles from the historic city of Lancaster.

Great location, very quiet and scenic adjacent to canal lock. Pleasant walk along the old tow path to the sea lock on the marina and the ocean beyond. Modern well furnished and equipped room, good size bathroom with bath and shower over.
Great breakfast included and fairly reasonably price restaurant onsite for an evening meal, so overall excellent stop over.

Ann and Steven were excellent hosts and their farmhouse made for a welcome and much needed stay following a long trip back from Ireland. Room was comfortable, warm and had everything we wanted. Particularly like the individual bottles of fresh milk and water available for us in the fridge. Lovely fresh cooked breakfast and cereals in the morning, thoroughly recommend to anyone looking to stay here

stayed at the pub for my wifes birthday, chose a superior room with a garden view. The rooms are very spacious and the bathrooms are of an exceptionally high standard in terms of tiling and fitments and toiletries.
The pub has 9 rooms and was completely refurbished about 8 years ago I think. The food was again of the highest standard, with a good menu and choice.
Extremely friendly staff, nothing too much trouble and all a credit to the pub.

A very nice destination, though we were looking for an overnight stop on the way to the Lakes. We discussed returning and using the Fleece Inn as a base for other adventures. Really impressed with the way this inn is set up: Local hub, hotel, visitors' centre.

Complicated dining area adjacent to a busy noisy bar.
Complicated dining area adjacent to a busy noisy bar. Not a good dining experience for a quality hotel. Breakfast was served in a large room which would make an ideal hotel dining room.
The food was excellent.
