The Priory, hotel in Shireshead

On the edge of Bowland Forest, The Priory bed and breakfast offers a cosy accommodation in the centre of Scorton. Free WiFi is available, and the M6 motorway is 15 minutes’ drive away.

The B&B is in a gorgeous location. Scorton village is very cute and has a village shop, park and the most incredible gift shop. The staff were lovely and couldn't be faulted. They always made sure to make a big fuss of any four legged guests, who seemed perfectly welcome. Great to have parking on site. Good hot drink selection provided in the room

stayed at the pub for my wifes birthday, chose a superior room with a garden view. The rooms are very spacious and the bathrooms are of an exceptionally high standard in terms of tiling and fitments and toiletries. The pub has 9 rooms and was completely refurbished about 8 years ago I think. The food was again of the highest standard, with a good menu and choice. Extremely friendly staff, nothing too much trouble and all a credit to the pub.

A very nice destination, though we were looking for an overnight stop on the way to the Lakes. We discussed returning and using the Fleece Inn as a base for other adventures. Really impressed with the way this inn is set up: Local hub, hotel, visitors' centre.

Complicated dining area adjacent to a busy noisy bar. Not a good dining experience for a quality hotel. Breakfast was served in a large room which would make an ideal hotel dining room. The food was excellent.
