The hotel is very clean and tidy and I was made very welcome by the lady at reception. The full English was one of the best hotel breakfasts that I have had in ages. Really good overnight stay.

We didn’t have breakfast. Location is lovely. 10 mins from Hardwick Hall. Bar area and dining area looked attractive. Lots of character. Big car park. East to find. Many thanks

We found a slice of perfection! Immaculate and beautifully presented barn accommodation. Absolutely stunning property which has been sympathetically renovated to an exceptional standard. Every aspect of the property has been well thought out and is very well equipped. We had a really lovely stay at Orchard Barn and will definitely return. From the start of the weekend it was stress free and relaxing with stunning views from the property that immediately make you slow down and enjoy the surroundings. Location is perfect, with many walking trails in the area. Thank you!

I only stayed for the 1 night, but the host was extremely welcoming and has been the best place I've stayed in for a long time. It's probably one of the best nights sleep I've had when I've been away, which is very often. I will definitely be going back!

Nick and Alex were so welcoming and friendly. We had an amazing time. They were very generous with their time help guide us as to what to visit. Would highly recommend exploring Major Oak in Sherwood forest, the Chatsworth House (can easily spend the entire day exploring), and Hardwick Hall. Do take the tours as the volunteers and the tour guides are absolutely amazing and full of the history and juicy stories about the Dukes that owned/lived there. Had a tasty dinner at the New Chand (indian restaurant).
Good location for nearby attractions.
Clumber Park is Beautiful and huge so give yourself the day.
Sherwood Forest not too far either.
Close to the main transport routes.
Some lovely looking pubs nearby,

it is a little off the beaten track (but not too far from the M1) and you definitely need a car to visit all the lovely attractions in the area. The house is very cosy and had all the amenities one needs such as washing machine, coffee machine, comfy beds etc. one small comment would be maybe to put hooks on back of the bedroom doors, especially the smallest bedroom as there is no hanging space in there. The host was very responsive to any questions and kept in touch every day to ensure we were ok. Would highly recommend the house to young families as there is a lovely garden to play in. The host left a few goodies to enjoy for our stay and there were plenty of condiments etc we could use if wanted. We found the house spotlessly clean which enhanced our stay.
