Centrally located and close to the bus station. It’s easy to get around from here. The breakfast was lovely and we had a good nights sleep each night, the bed was very comfortable. I really liked the shower and the bathroom was very clean.

The staff were welcoming, friendly and helpful. The food was wonderful. The room was larger than I thought it would be with an additional bed, no additional fee though :) There was everything I could have needed in the room - iron and ironing board, heater, fan, hair drier, tea, coffee and biscuits.

Close M11 and Stansted.
Close M11 and Stansted. A small village with some local shops. Good location to explore Essex and South Suffolk, lots of things to see nearby. The roads are narrow and there are lots of small villages with speed limits. A popular area for cyclists and bikers.

The staff were very welcoming and pleasant.
The staff were very welcoming and pleasant. The food was exceptional, would use them again but unfortunately no more events expected in their location.
Only negative was the man who helped serve breakfast, he was not dressed appropriately - it looked like pyjamas but likely shorts & T-shirt
Stayed overnight following a nearby wedding. When booking, hotel responded quickly and extremely helpfully to my questions regarding possible early check in and local taxi info.
Room clean and comfortable and lovely friendly welcome. Generous breakfast freshly cooked and served with care by friendly staff.
Would definitely revisit and recommend.
On a B&B basis the ‘hotel’ side of our stay was great. They accommodated our late arrival, the bed was comfortable and the bathroom/shower was great. So nice to have a shower with a decent power.
We also booked to eat in the ‘pub’ side of the Cock. Service was very good. Food and menu options were good for a pub.
The hotel has an excellent service with every thing that they provide. The breakfast is excellent and the dinners are to die for. Have eaten at quite a few hotel's in the past, but this hotel has the most excellent service and also the rooms are very clean and spacious
The hotel is full of character but with all the comforts. The staff were all very friendly and welcoming for our overnight stay. The breakfast was very good with everything you'd expect. I would happily recommend. Thankyou. X
As we were helping my daughter move house we didn't arrive at the hotel until very late but we were happy to find the room spacious, clean and the bed very comfortable. The full English breakfast was great.
Absolutely wonderful stay at the Cock Inn Hotel, thank you to all the friendly staff who made our stay so enjoyable. We had an evening meal and the breakfast, both were superb. Plenty of parking available.
One of my fav places to stay on the way from London. Really nice and clean hotel. Also the stuff is superb meeting all the needs. Very grateful for such a pleasant stay ebery time there.
Good hotel. For a pub with rooms it was extremely quiet. Comfortable bed and good facilities. Can't comment on the breakfast as I had to leave before restaurant was open .
On a trip to a local sale. Everything 1st class all staff very friendly and most helpful, they let us come back for breakfast even when we had left the hotel early.
