Lovely warm welcome, lovely complimentary bubbly, the staff were amazing, loved our tour of the hotel..and our room and Mark explained how everything works around the hotel leaving no questions for us. The spa was great, the mood lighting makes it feel relaxed. The room was beautiful, had everything we needed and Mark also brought up a fridge for us for our drinks. The chauffer driven Bentley to drop us off for dinner was a nice touch also. We will definitely be returning!

Near Sawrey is tiny, quaint and beautiful. As well as Beatrix Potter's Hilltop Farm, it also has a pub and a hotel. The pub lunch was nice (sandwich and chips) but over priced. The hotel (Sawrey Hotel) is shabby chic with nice gardens. Dinner was quite good. The highlight was the lemon posset which was amazing! We were disappointed to discover that the waiter didn't get the tips though.
