People smoke and vape outside reception making slot of noise. No good for a 5:30am flight.

The room was lovely and spotlessly clean, the site was very well maintained and very 'pretty'. The facilities in the room were very good and overall it was a very peaceful location.

Liked the closeness to the airport.
Food court (services) also a few steps away.
Breakfast average. Reasonable price.
Liked that I had emails telling me about the nearby roadworks. Therefore, I could plan my journey to the airport.

The reception staff (Cathy) was unhelpful and bordering on rude. The barman told my adult son that my husband and I were "stupid" as we didn't know the currency and had to ask if we had given the correct coins. There was no early check-in available and no secure place to put your luggage while you waited for your room. When we walked to our room we passed a lot of dirty dishes left on the stairs. The room was tired with chipped paint on the walls and cupboards. Breakfast was okay but don't expect all the hot food options available at one time.
The water pressure was fantastic and the grounds were beautiful. The cab company recommended by the hotel was fantastic.

We love the location, Food and the relaxing facilities { ie: Pool,Sauna, Jacuzzi} that the Hotel offers.
However, we were given a Room in the Basement which had no Phone or WiFi reception, and a Fridge would have made our stay even more enjoyable.

Exactly as described- a cosy cottage - surrounded by farm buildings and lovely garden. The owner had provided a welcome pack of milk, bread, cheese, butter, fruit, wine, etc. which was fantastic. There are some country walks from the cottage or into Sawbridgeworth. A perfect place to stay while visiting family in Bishop's Stortford. Would definitely stay here again.
Beautiful working farm with the friendliest people (and dogs!). We loved that it was only a 15 min walk into Sawbridgeworth where we had an excellent dinner. Our hosts were helpful, provided local information including taxi companies so we could prebook for attending a wedding at Colville Hall - would really recommend a stay here.
We were greeted by a lovely receptionist who explained everything really well. We had a lovely room not too far from the lift. The food in the restaurant was excellent. The staff in every part of the hotel were friendly and made us feel very welcome. Would definitely recommend.
The hotel surroundings are just amazing, beautiful peaceful nature. The hotel itself is full of character, you feel like you are back in time in a good way. Room was very nice and spacious. The breakfast was really good!
It's a nice house , stayed only while settling in Harlow. Comfortable , got some good rest.
Quiet area! in that village.
