The Bath Arms Hotel, hotel in Rooks Bridge

With a restaurant and a bar onsite, The Bath Arms Hotel offers adult-only accommodation in the picturesque village of Cheddar. The Cheddar Gorge Caves are just 10 minutes' walk away.

We liked EVERYTHING about this hotel. The staff were polite, courteous, friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble. The beer was served at the correct temperature, the menu was varied and the food was cooked to perfection both at dinner and breakfast. The room, "Little Robin," had every facility you'd expect and was spotlessly clean. Jacqui, the owner, was a great source of local information and told us some terrific places to go. Thanks, Jacqui, you were spot on!

Unfortunately I found nothing nice about it, we were greeted with a man with his phone in his face, told us to hold on. The room was filthy it may have had a quick clean but the dust was awful, the mould around the bath. The bed linen was damp. It needed a good clean. 178 I paid for one night and I'm disgusted. No breakfast vouchers given even though I had paid, however that was sorted out but wish I hadn't bothered paying extra for the breakfast. Would not recommend.

Read the main review - but I would add that you have to remember that this is on the northbound carriageway and if travelling south, you will need to go past it, get off at the next junction, and then join the carriageway north.

I liked the location - so close to the motorway exit. They have big parking lot. So, no problem of parking. Also, restaurants, coffee shop, petrol station so close to the hotel. Enjoyed my stay there and will surely visit in future.

Very clean and comfortable accommodation, plenty of room, bed was very comfortable, shower and bathroom were excellent, staff were friendly and welcoming throughout the whole stay, nothing was too much, made sure we had plenty of towels, and the added bonus of a tv with freeview and a sofa was lovely, fantastic little hotel, parking available, and just a great location just off the m5 for an overnight stay - Perfect for us!

Clean bathroom. Shower gel/hand-wash provided, very useful. Clean towels etc. Clean hotel. Very, very, very friendly staff! Extremely helpful. Shout out to Elaine, who very halepful towards me. Anything I asked for - I got, for example extra milk pots, linen, shower gel. The staff had lots of local info and knowledge which they openly and kindly shared with us. It felt a very safe place.

We were group of 10 people including my mum & dad who has mobility issues and we stayed there for 3 nights. Nice and quiet area with parking on front. Rooms were spacious with additional beds. Staff was really good with 24hrs service. Breakfast was across the road on the services and it was delicious. This hotel is Pet friendly which we were looking for.
