The pub is how all country pubs should be: warm, welcoming, with lovely food and drink. The rooms (we stayed twice for one night each time) were comfortable, quiet and equipped with everything we needed.

Breakfast was disappointing, dinner was lovely. Staff were wonderful, but, seemed a bit frazzled. Disappointing that no open fires were on, apparently there was an issue last year and they needed to be relined. We have an old house and have had this done - why have they not got this done over the Summer!!!???! Lovely location, no fridge in room and no air conditioning. Relaxing, old world charm, but, a bit pricey for what it is.

Loved this beautiful old hotel in this very pretty quaint village. We had an upgraded room which included a carpark, for which we were very grateful. Our room size was very generous and the cooked to order breakfast was first rate. The staff were very attentive and friendly.

A great location for getting onto both north and south moors with beautiful moorland walks in both directions. Car parking at reasonable cost available at the Information Center. East Dart Hotel in Postbridge has a large bar with real fire and serves meals and snacks daily. The Warren House Inn a mile or so east is a must to visit after/ during a walk.

Postbridge is a delightful very small hamlet.
Postbridge is a delightful very small hamlet. It suited me just fine to reach all parts of Dartmoor, east, west, south or north. The drives in both directions are spectacular. There are some super walks direct from Postbridge.

The whole area is very scenic, including the bridge it is named after. The Moor is lovely in general but this is one of the nicest parts of it. The people are friendly and the various hostelries hospitable, especially the Lydgate House Hotel, simply wonderful afternoon cream teas.

This is an excellent location for an outdoor or walking holiday. The scenery on the moor is spectacular, and there are a variety of animals both wild and domestic. The ponies with their foals are particularly charming.
There is just one shop/Post Office selling limited goods.

Paul and Rosie made us feel at home and made our stay very comfortable and relaxing. Nothing was too much for them to do for us. Great weekend and will definitely be back in the near future. Well done guys and thanks again, see you soon 👍
Excellent location, price and service by Alex. We felt welcomed to the B&B, there was plenty of parking as well.
Location was great, Postbridge being the centre of Dartmoor, both the roads getting into and out of Postbridge were excellent.
Rooms were spacious, the shower had exceptional flow/pressure, the likes of which is struggle to get in London!
Breakfast was also good, and Alex made some extra out of menu items to suit vegetarian needs.
Staying in Postbridge was beautiful, right in the middle of Dartmoor. Beechwood was pretty and comfortable with a lounge to relax in and a friendly dog. We had a lovely tasty breakfast and coffee! Would recommend!
Very friendly, helpful staff and a lovely location for a relaxing overnight stay. The room was spotless and the bed extremely comfortable. I would highly recommend this hotel.
