The town of Port Erin is situated around a beautiful coastline, and the bay itself is stunning. The local people are very friendly and helpful. Transport to-and-from the town is excellent, there being regular buses to most parts of the island, and the train service is efficient and quaint. Shopping was not so good during our stay (late April 2024) as there was only a small Co-op supermarket, with limited stock, and an even smaller Spar with the same limited goods. However, Tesco were in the process of developing a large store in the centre of the town (not sure of opening date). Note, the pubs are good with nice meals served.

Beautiful little seaside village, relaxed and friendly, walking distance from Falcons Nest Hotel which is a great place to eat, especially lovely Sunday roast, reasonably priced. Small parade of shops including Newsagents, Co-Op, Fish and Chip shop. Nearby, Chemist, Post Office. Delicious ice cream at Scoops cafe. Regular bus service into Douglas every 20 minutes. Steam train station and museum, closed on Tuesdays

It is a beautiful little village but everything you need is within walking distance. A Post Office, Chemist, 2 good gift shops, several cafe's, a really good fish and chip shop, and a several outlets that sold Davisons ice cream. Proper pubs and bars. Not to mention the train station which is lovingly maintained and straight out of an Enid Blyton novel. Very easy to get round as it's mostly on the flat except for when you drop down on the beach. It is also well serviced with buses as well. It has some very interesting local history as well which the Falcon's Nest is directly involved in.

Port Erin is one of the most scenic areas of the island especially if you get a good sunset. Plenty of walks, great beach and local cafes/pubs. Great place as a base to explore the rest of the island too.

The hotel is situated on a beautiful beach with great access to Douglas by bus or car. The staff were amazing and the room was recently renovated so very comfortable. The hotel is a little tired but with in the process of being renovated which you can see they are getting on with nicely. Breakfast was buffet style and I couldn’t fault it. We had a great stay and will go back for sure.

Lovely breakfast, rooms spotless, and lovely hosts. We chose the Guest House - since it was within 5 mins of walking distance to the Isle of Man Steam Railway in Port Erin. The railway was celebrating its 150th anniversary - so we were over for this special event. Port Erin is lovely, quieter, and feels more peaceful. Though the whole is quite laid back and friendly.

Even though the building needs a little TLC, the food was excellent in particular Breakfast. The staff were welcoming, genuinely friendly and obliging. Can't even suggest any improvements as we wouldn't change anything that they did. The location was perfect, everything was within easy reach and the hotel has a fantastic view of the bay, which is really beautiful.

This is the best place to stay in Port Erin. It is strategically located, less than 5 minutes away from the town centre, and has an undisturbed view of the ocean. The apartment is very spacious, clean, and very comfortable. We will definitely going back to stay there.

The location was excellent, a short walk from town, bus terminus, train station. The accommodation was spotlessly clean. The proprietor was prepared to be flexible over such things as deviating slightly from the breakfast menu.
