Location is good we thought it was in Polegate but Berwick Inn is in Berwick by the rail crossing. So pretty quiet and rural. Nature park reservoir just up the road. You do hear trains but they didn't seem to run during the night so slept soundly. Room and shower were of a high standard.

We only stayed one night but absolutely loved our stay. We were due to check in at 2.30pm, but we arrived early at 11.30am and they let us check in then! It was beautiful. we loved the location, the attention to detail and the atmosphere was great. We loved the Jazz group that played during Sunday lunch and the whole ambience of the place. Didn't want to leave!

We had the cosy room, so I wasn’t expecting it to be big- it felt like a dorm room , room exactly 120cms wider than the double bed and window was internal-the photo on the website didn’t show this…. No Aircon and no air if you didn’t open the 30 cm wide window that looked into the reception/ front door -very noisy. Privacy was interesting as we looked directly into our neighbours window -the space separating us was the width of the front doors. We only had black out roller blinds. We did try to up grade to the next size- but at breakfast our neighbours in a bigger room said it wasn’t much better.
No comments about Polegate because the Berwick Inn ISN'T...
No comments about Polegate because the Berwick Inn ISN'T THERE. It is at Berwick which is some miles
The post code given was the correct one but landed us in the countryside so we had difficulties in getting to the Berwick Inn.

Polegate is great for access to the beaches at Eastbourne and Pevensey.
Excellent retail parks and large supermarkets within easy reach - 10 minute drive away. Sovereign Harbour retail, restaurant and Marina nearby. So much to see and do in surrounding area, makes Polegate a great base.
Peaceful, countryside location - with lots of walks and trails.

Service was excellent. We missed the ferry crossing and didn't get to the hotel until 5am. The hotel staff were amazing and opened up for us so we could get some sleep and a good breakfast that morning.
The bed was amazingly comfortable too!
With having young kids, great to have the kitchen area & fridge & microwave, that’s the reason for our stay as the last time in the area we stayed at a hotel. This cottage only £20 more expensive than a hotel so defo better with kids
