The George, hotel in North Molton

This 18th-century hotel is set in the centre of South Molton. It mixes original character with modern comforts and has log fires, free Wi-Fi, free parking and en suite rooms with flat-screen TVs.

Friendly, lovely, kind staff who were great to talk to & room so quiet that I was amazed how many other guests there were at breakfast! Not a sound. The breakfast was outstanding & catered for gluten free coeliac - knew the drill over grill rather than toaster for the bread, which is always reassuring! Room huge, comfortable and well presented. Really lovely trip.

I had the pleasure of staying at this wonderful establishment and I must say, it exceeded all my expectations. The food was not only tasty but also plentiful, making each breakfast a pleasant experience. The cleanliness of the place was commendable. It was very clean and tidy which added to the overall comfort of my stay. The beds were incredibly comfortable ensuring a good night's sleep after a long day. A special mention must be made of John who was most helpful during our stay. He provided us with all the necessary information and went out of his way to ensure we had a pleasant stay. His assistance greatly enhanced our experience. In conclusion, I highly recommend this place for its excellent food, cleanliness, comfortable beds, and outstanding service. The Hive, hotel in North Molton

Set 26 km from Tiverton Castle, The Hive offers accommodation with free WiFi and free private parking.

Beds were comfy. The host was fanstastic and managed to find an extra parking space for us even though this wasn't part of the offer. We were only supposed to be bringing one car but there was a last minute change which i forgot to inform the host about so it was entirely my fault and it was dealt with brilliantly.

Yeo Dale Hotel, hotel in North Molton

With its distinctive Georgian frontage, Yeo Dale hotel is an elegant town house with free Wi-Fi, just a 3-minute walk from Barnstaple town centre.

The Yeo Dale Hotel, a charming family-owned establishment situated in the heart of Barnstaple, Devon, offers a cosy and traditional atmosphere within a townhouse setting. Upon arrival, guests are greeted with a warm and friendly welcome, setting the tone for a pleasant stay. The single room I reserved was located on the top floor of the hotel, providing a compact yet comfortable space with a cosy bed for a good night's rest. While the car park is on the smaller side, I was able to find a spot. However, clearer signposting to the car park would enhance the overall guest experience and make parking more convenient. Guests can enjoy a delicious and freshly cooked breakfast at the hotel, setting a positive start to the day. Overall, my experience at the Yeo Dale Hotel was enjoyable, and I would not hesitate to book a stay here again when visiting Barnstaple.

Cosy Nook was perfect for my daughter and me on our long weekend break. The cottage was clean and cosy, extremely well equipped and a lot of thought had gone into the comfortably furnishings. The pub just up the road served good food and was lively and welcoming. North Molton was well placed for some lovely walks and for Exeter which was exactly what we wanted. Looking forward to our next visit.

The view, completely outstanding and the peace and tranquility of the property. Clean, beautiful accommodation with all amenities and the owners are lovely. Other members of my family are now visiting and we are going back again, something I have never done. A home from home perfect place to get away from it all.

We would of liked to of explored the local area a little further but our elderly dog was was unable to walk far, we stayed during Easter weekend and although the weather was dry in wasn't that warm, we thought the village was quiet, we were able to get a table in the local pub for a meal, which was very nice and reasonable priced

Very friendly and helpful staff, and Debbie manager helped make my short stay comfortable for my specific needs. Excellent food with lots of choice, breakfasts and evening meals were delicious. I wanted a quiet break away from work, at the Poltimore Inn I was able to enjoy the quiet countryside views from my lodge, with just farm animal and bird sounds… thankfully a very laid back cockerel next door, who didn’t crow till about 8.30 am!!
