The staff were excellent, especially Kelly; the young lad that helped her in the evening, and the woman that looked after us at breakfast. Nothing was too much trouble and they all made us feel really welcome.
We had an evening meal on both occasions and the menu choice and quality of cooking were both excellent. The service was consistently high and we'd definitely recommend dining there. Overall, it was a great place to stay, especially if planning on visiting Cragside!
In the centre of Alnwick, this 300-year-old coaching inn is a short walk from Alnwick Castle and Gardens. Its restaurant’s decor was salvaged from the Titanic’s sister ship. Free parking is available....

Nice village.
Nice village.
Property in nice location, but the kitchen would benefit from some updating, ie bigger fridge, new crockery and utensils. Wasn't easy cooking our Christmas Dinner with only 3 saucepans, and only two shelves for both ovens.
Central heating boiler was off more than it was on due to ongoing fault. Thankfully I'd taken an electric fan heater, but it's a huge property not to have any heating.... in December!

The property is excellent if you just want to stay in and use the hot tub. We were hoping for a bit of life on the site but finally found it in a local pub after walking through the woods, would of helped if there was a little map showing where the pub was as its only a 10 min walk from the caravan but with a quick look on Google maps I found it.

It was a lovely clean park in a beautiful rural setting with great views we did struggle to find a local shop for fresh milk etc but armed with everything we’d need we would return! There was a snack van at reception but as we were offsite visiting family we missed the short opening times. The park itself was very quiet & peaceful

Lovely location, comfortable clean accommodation in a quiet caravan park. The Cook & Barker a little over a mile away (some care if on foot) for excellent food and real ale. Amble is 20 minutes away and well worth the trip. Alnwick & Rothbury a little further but you will not be disappointed.

The location is good to explore Northumberland.
The location is good to explore Northumberland. Close to the A1 and Alnwick. Apart from the Castle and grounds it’s also worth visiting the large second hand book store in the old railway building.
Cragside was also nearby and a must see.
We ate both nights in Alnwick
