We loved our stay. We had a very warm welcome from Victoria complete with a glass of prosecco and chatting by a cosy fire. The house is amazing, it's much more like staying with classy friends than a B and B. Very comfortable and lots of thoughtful little touches. Delicious (I'm guessing) Italian dinner available with pre-booking (we couldn't arrive in time to try it). Breakfast was outstanding. Cute dogs and kitten to pet. Great location and good tips for local visits.

Great attention to detail - the little touches were wonderful such as the little bottles of fresh milk and the biscuits with the tea in the restaurant. Lovely modern decor with a large shower. The bedrooms were very spacious. The breakfast was excellent and perfectly cooked. We will definitely visit again.

Very clean, quiet and comfortable. Had everything we needed for a relaxing stay and a good base for a few day trips. Sainsbury is very close as is Toby Carvery......Best try to avoid going into the town itself as the traffic is pretty bad. Good cooking facilities and useful washing machine and dryer with a couple of washing tablets. Tea, coffee and milk provided.

The house is a tastefully renovated antique cottage. Modern conveniences (heating, WLAN, plumbing....) have been installed in an unobtrusive way that doesn't affect the overall character. Julie was a super host, a mine of useful information and a great cook - English breakfast was always a delight, including much local produce. We were pleased that quality took priority over price ;-)

Newton Abbot is a nice little town, with a decent array of shops. If you have little ones, you must go to iTown as it's a great place for toddlers and Primary School kids. The walk along the river and the Hackney Marshes are fantastic and the racecourse looks to be well maintained.

A lovely small town which is ideally located to explore both Dartmoor and the many attractions of South Devon. There are a good range of places to eat. For me, the highlight was the superb food and service at The Eastern Eye.

We didnt actually visit Newton Abbot itself, but the area is great for exploring Dartmoor, the East Devon coast and visiting Exeter. Wonderful food at The Cridford Inn in Trusham, Home Farm Cafe on the Parke Estate, The Ridge Cafe, Haldon Forest Park, The Cafe on The Green at Widecombe in the Moor and The Thatched Tavern at Maidencombe. All of these eateries can include great walks and are dog friendly.

Newton Abbott is a railway town, so a great place for getting to other places. It is worth exploring in it's own right, the bell tower and town museum are worth a visit. There are plentiful shops and cafes. Hackney Marshes, next to the racecourse are are pleasant walk.
from the first step through the front door we both loved this pub/hotel. The whole place had an ambience which enthralled us. the decor and the way they had a lovely farmhouse theme throughout was a topic of conversation every room we went in downstairs in the pub and restaurant. The room we stayed in, Pheasant, was superbly decorated and spotless. The food we had on two nights was also superb, and the breakfast cooked to order was superb.
Don’t think twice about staying here, or you will regret it!
It was a lovely location. Very quiet. Also it was a short drive to Newton Abbott where we drove to. But you could easily drive to the coast or to Exeter without too much hassle. It was just outside a nice village too where we could grab some dinner.
I loved the fire pits. The hut was very modern. The toilets and showers were great. Everything was very clean and in good working order. I liked the fact that we could turn up at any time without having to bother a receptionist etc.
The bed was really comfy, and the breakfast was delicious. The eggs were from their own chicken and the conserves were all home made. The property is close to a bus stop with a frequent bus service into Newton Abbot and other surrounding attractions (e.g. the towns of Ashburton and Buckfastleigh/Buckfast Abbey). The owner was very friendly, with a great sense of humour/fun.
Although in the centre of Newton Abbot the property was in a quiet road and the small courtyard was a lovely bonus with only the sounds of birds
Simple but a good selection of cereals with milk and toast
A Home from Home touch
Great friendly helpful host
And, Amazing value for money
The host jayne was lovely we had everything and more that we needed, it was very easy to find and central for everywhere around, there is a lovely pub called the sloop 6 minute walk away serving lovely food and the service was warm and friendly, what a lovely place to stay
Absolutely loved this place. We stayed in a bell tent, it was just like being in a hotel room! We ate in the pub, and it was the best meal we'd had in a good long while. Staff lovely too. Highly recommended. Will definitely be coming back.
Beautifully located in secluded location , the rooms were immaculate and bed comfy
The food was exceptional for pub food and the staff were lovely, we would have no hesitation in returning on our next visit to the area
Highly recommended
This flat was charming, quiet, and clean. I felt right at home with the amenities provided and even the neighbors were sweet and welcoming. The beds were comfortable and I had everything I needed to enjoy my time in Newton Abbot
Very kind staff who left us our key when we arrived too late for check-in. Fresh milk. Beautiful room and huge comfy bed. Didn't use the shower but it looked great. Couldn't believe how cheap it was, frankly.
We spent a week in Devon at this lovely apartment. Delia and Malcolm were really welcoming and had clearly put a lot of thought in to the guest experience. We liked it so much we booked for next year!
Ideally positioned in Newtown Abbot to move around Devon. Plenty of amenities close by
Easy to find, quiet, and very well appointed.
We had a car, not sure how you might fare on public transport.
An ideal location to visit lots of tourist places.
Near to local super market and restaurant/ pub but in a quiet location.
The house was warm and cosy and had everything we needed.
This is my new regular hotel whilst visiting our UK office. From location, service, quality and value Bickley has it all. Pay a visit for a stay or a meal you wont be disappointed.
House has a spacious lounge area and bathrooms, underfloor heating is cosy once warmed up. Newton Abbot was pleasant, nice market town with nice pubs for drink / food
As a whole it was all excellent. Daisy went above and beyond to be helpful and accommodating. The hotel itself was really lovely and the food was excellent.
