We loved our mini Birthday celebration, the room was stunning, the staff where really friendly and helpful, from check in to evening meal and breakfast everything was excellent, even when I had a mis-hap and lost all my clothes after the spa the staff where all brilliant and so kind trying to chase down other spa users to see if they had my bag. Unfortunately it wasn't found but I'm hopeful that it will turn up.

The hotel was large and light, tastefully furnished. It was right next to the lake ferry giving easy access to other parts of the lake. Vouchers were given for the car park very close by. there was a great path, one mile long leading to Newby Bridge, where we sat outside by the river with a relaxing drink.

Great place to base for lake district and south lakes. Onsite spa relaxing but need to book as limited spaces per session. However use of another pool and sauna is in hotel for guests. Parking difficult at busy times but remember to register with hotel so do not get parking a fine. ate breakfast in hotel made to order as well as cold buffet with lots of choice. Very enjoyable visit.

A pleasantly situated hotel on the river.

A pleasantly situated hotel on the river. Our room was large and overall comfy, with a great bed. However, we found the hotel overpriced particularly foodwise which we felt was of standard quality. We had numerous negative feelings and left a day earlier. The hotel did refund a days stay which was good of them. My husband and I have much experience of hotels, Food service, customer service and felt this hotel could be so much better if they revert to first class service. I would not choose to stay there again, sadly.

We used a car so can't comment on public transport but it's perfectly situated just a couple of miles from the southern tip of lake windermere so you can go left or right and access all of the Lake district with ease.

The only negative was that the lakeside allowed Dogs in the hotel. I love dogs but think when you go to an expensive hotel you don’t need dogs staying in the bedrooms. The Huntsman pub was very good for food. While we were eating our meal there were 3 dogs running around the pub and not under control. This was bad owners not bad dogs. Beautiful location

The staff were very helpful and pleasant. Food was amazing. Lovely evening meal and choices were great . Lovely self serve breakfast too in the morning , would of preferred better continental selection though. Location is pretty good as you can jump on the newby bridge halt just across the road and it takes you to lakeside aquarium. You can also get a boat over to Bowness from there too. Rooms were clean and had most requirements. However duvet was exceptionally thin but did have an additional blanket we could use.

Everything was wonderful. Receptionist was friendly, helpful and informative. Cleanliness of the room was perfect. Very comfortable bed. Great choice of items on breakfast menu and the food was very good. The spa was the main reason we booked and it was great. We weren’t able to book any treatments unfortunately, as we booked the same day that we arrived, but the general spa was lovely and being able to order drinks from the pool / jacuzzi was fantastic. We will definitely return to this hotel!

Nice cosy B&B 20 min drive from Bowness-on-Windemere. The room was warm, which was a relief after getting wet during the day. Small bathroom but fine for a weekend. There is only a big overhead shower, no handheld one (personal preference). Colin was super nice and we were able to change our BF time to early morning so we could make the most of the day. He offers a good choice for BF with various cereals, musli, fruit, toast and English BF. Parking is easy on the property. I'd stay again.

My friends and I recently had a short break and chose to stay at Newby Bridge Hotel, located conveniently close to the Lake District. Prior to our arrival, we emailed the hotel to inform them that we would be checking in late. We were pleased to find that they had left a note with a letter and keys at the front desk, making it easy for us to check-in upon our arrival from London. We had booked one of the larger rooms available for three adults through the Booking.com website.

Our stay was lovely! couldnt recommend Newby Bridge Caraven Park enough. After needing to change the date due to the loss of my Father the staff were so helpful. The caravan was lovely spacious and modern and the little touches of the bag of treats/toys for our dog and the bottles of prosecco on arrival were extremely thoughtful. This is the 2nd time i have stayed and will definately be back.

Nothing.....The staff were poor, the rates and bar charges were diabolical, the jacuzzi was absolutely toxic, stinking of extra strong chlorine, we had a family room, 2 adults and one child and we had one bath towel and one hand towel between us for 2 days, no breakfast included, so we paid for extra breakfasts at 12.50 each, big mistake, I will never stay at newby bridge hotel again...

Good location next to river. Nice comfortable hotel lounge and room. Very good food. Bonus of a jacuzzi and pool. Not as fancy as some other spa hotels but excellent value for money for three of us sharing one room. Helpful nice staff - the receptionists even allowed me to keep my paddleboard fully inflated on the conference room overnight, which was very accommodating.

Excellent location, near to the steam train and the aquarium and boat pick up point. Good range of facilities: swimming pool and pub within the hotel. The china cups for tea in the room was a nice touch. Our room also had a nice view of the garden. The lady who welcomed us at breakfast initially was very efficient and welcoming.
