For the price paid (thank you booking.com Genius pricing), this place was faultless - offering exceptional quality and value. Its a 15th century coaching house, with first class accommodation in the converted stables. Everything was just so - with oak beams, large bathroom and monogrammed towels! The accommodation even had its own small lounge. Absolutely nothing to fault. The gaff is a restaurant- not a pub - but the bar area, and restaurant itself, was very olde world, but without ever being twee. The staff were decent coves too. It's actually an Aga based carvery, and the pricing was stunning - we got a three course meal for fifteen quid! Fear not veggies - there are ample veggie options, and there is a full non-carvery menu too. The food and drink is remarkably good for the pricing. As I said up top - we couldn't fault it.

Had everything I needed for a couple of nights. Secure off street parking, Comfy bed, great shower and plenty of tea & coffee 👍. Very clean and tidy and really easy to find with the help of Sarah’s text, just before I arrived 👍.
