It's very basic but on the other hand it's very good value for money. Once you have located the turning off the main road you navigate a track past the famrhouse to the chalets. You do have to ask for towels. You have the facilities to make your own breakfast. A microwave, kettle, crockery and cutlery. We found a good pub nearby and an Aldi in Knutsford and it was excellent for visiting Tatton Park National Trust house and gardens. Decor is a bit old fashioned but the room is clean. The bathroom is small with a tiny basin but the shower worked.

    Worst place I've stayed in.

Worst place I've stayed in. No hot water, no towel, no hand soap, filthy carpets, mould in shower and on walls, peeling ceiling, cobwebs, stuff growing in the kettle. I had a cold shower whilst making sure I didn't touch the sides. That place is a health risk. Such a shame as they could do something decent. I can do dated and basic, but not dirty. Get yourselves a couple of cleaners and a decorator. My usual place was booked up but for the same price I get a spotless 1 bed flat with breakfast!

Most horrid experience I have had in my entire life staying in a B&B. Apparently, Chelford B&Bs in Marthal horrible reputation with irresponsible manager are known to neighbourhood B&Bs. They still believe that they run a B&B. I only got to meet with the manager who introduced herself Jennifer, on my second day so I could show her filth and state of my second accomodation was allocated by her which has evidently not been touched for considerable amount of time, having to have changed my room twice at the time. According to her it is all to do with Covid, well.... since Covid started they do not tend to do breakfast, there is only continental breakfast at request (obviously if one lucky to approach the manager), no towels. £240 paid for four nights from 29th August till 2nd September! Utterly inconceivable. However, after showing her disgraceful beddings, stains, mould and cobweb in every possible nook and cranny, broken Fridge freezer and TV, leaky bathroom, which evidently serious danger to health and safety, and complaint poxy internet reception (if one of course is interested in being off grid dilapidated spot for a bit of spooky adventure)Jennifer did not say anything apart from nodding (See Photos)! No apologies received !

It should not have been called B&B as they di not have breakfast facility. Their bathroom is poor and bath is dangerously slippery. They do not provide soap for bath, and did not even have the courtesy to inform guests so which means that if it was st night you need bath, there will be no soap and no shop to buy one. I even forgot the bath gel I had to travel out late evening to purchase from shop, in their bathroom. A very poor service overall.

Nothing really in Marthall other than a trading estate / industrial park & a car boot sale field. Otherwise, some scattered farms, a few dwellings & a church (plus pub a mile back towards Knutsford). NB. When in Marthall, you know for sure you're not in Knutsford!
