Wow wow wow is all I can say about the food in the restaurant it has to have been the best Turkish food I have ever had outside of turkey. The cheese cake is by far the best ever, don't know how the restaurant wasn't full. the staff were lovely, felt like nothing was too much trouble.
The bedroom was very clean and comfortable but unfortunately only 2 plug sockets and that was for the TV and kettle.
30 min walk into the center but was less than £6 in a taxi to get back.
The breakfast was ok, no choice just 1 option but the bacon was very good quality.

Everything to a very high standard throughout. Room had a very pleasant garden view. Lots of complimentaries in the room, including bottled water in fridge in room. Very good breakfast choices including cooked and non cooked. I was intrigued by wall size picture of hand in my room. Host Emyr explained this was picture of a golden hand statue at local lake beauty spot which can be walked to from guest house. Certainly a talking point ! Thanks Emyr and Tracey.

The town centre is very run down with empty and dilapidated shops, mainly nail bars, hair salons, vaping, used phones and cafes. The eating ioptions that are both wheelchair and dog friendly are very limited. There are some charity shops. I can't vouch for the four seasons shopping centre as I had to mind the dog outside. There is a nice pet shop which welcomed him and provided some reasonably priced toys and treats.

We were made to feel very welcome by our friendly hosts. The whole place was beautifully furnished very quirky with an abundance of antique furnishings bone china lovely biscuits/ tea and coffee selection in the room. The attention to detail in our room and en-suite was fantastic from the lighting to the furnishings and we had a super breakfast before leaving. It was also fantastic value for money and highly recommendable 😀

Great location for the theatre, Old victorian Hotel with character but rooms a little tired with old fashioned bedding but bed very comfortable and everything in your room you need for a short stay. Unfortunately the breakfast although beautifully presented wasn't good mainly due to poor quality sausages, one bite and it put me off the rest of my full English. My suggestion would be to spend more on food quality than little plastic bottles of environmentally unfriendly toiletries . The guest welcome could also have been better. Also no bar or restaurant open for dinner on Friday evening., website says no bar or restaurant at the weekend and when my husband and I asked about dinner fir Friday evening ( the night of our stay) we were told that they classed Friday as the weekend, in my opinion this is a working week day .

I originate from Mansfield so it is always a pleasure to return. The town like most others I visit is not as vibrant as it once was but I believe measures are in place for big improvements. The Rushley Inn a few hundred yards away from 281 Rooms is very handy as is the mini Tesco store opposite the Inn. Frequent buses to Mansfield and Nottingham. 281 Rooms is situated in a lovely residential area

My route app let me down so I asked locals for directions and they were really helpful and gave me the correct information. As a somewhat cynical old geezer I was really pleasantly surprised, it was really great.Thank You Mansfield citizens. You are lovely people and have lifted my jaded opinion of my fellow humans big style. Thank You all especially the taxi drivers.

We were immediately made to feel very welcome upon arrival!
We were immediately made to feel very welcome upon arrival! The rooms were single rooms, as we asked/paid for and lovely, light, airy and quiet. The home-cooked breakfasts were the best I have had so far. The bed/mattrass was of very good quality (nice and firm) and I slept very well. The guesthouse was centrally located and therefore perfect for sightseeing around the area. The places we wanted to visit were all within around 30 minutes driving which was perfect. I highly recommend Bridleways Guesthouse!
The breakfast was excellent, both the free "continental" breakfast (which I had one day) and the English cooked breakfast (which I had on leaving). The place is owned and run by a lovely family. Had I stayed longer, they would probably have happily let me use my laptop in the breakfast room. I slept well. The shower was an excellent manipulable one, not one of those awful thing stuck to the wall that you can't move around.
Nicer than the hotel chains. The on-street parking was entirely without problems.
ABSOLUTELY EVERYTHING!!!!!
From the welcome, the personal service the room the little touches.
I have worked in a lot of hotels in the UK and abroad and this HAS to be the BEST I have stayed in.
we had room 9 beautiful room, it was like a suite
I love the touches of an eye mask, earplugs on the bed which we used.
The eye for detail was perfect.
It was very clean and welcoming
the standard was so high it’s a hidden gem
A lovely cottage in a quiet location. The cottage was very well supplied with all things necessary for a comfortable stay. The kitchen was easy to use and I found everything I needed. We especially enjoyed the fire and the view from the windows over the fields and the horses. Proximity to Sherwood Forest and some excellent pubs was an important part of our stay and the bus service into Nottingham was very handy.
Good location - near to the centre of Mansfield - and well situated with a nice garden.
Staff and owner are very welcoming and helpful.
The bedroon was very comfortable and clean with ensuite and good powerful shower. Kettle with coffee tea biscuits etc refilled daily.
Nice breakfast room and good choice and quality of breakfast.
Very good value for money
Our stay at Bridleways guesthouse was exceptional. Emyr and the team couldn't have been more welcoming, friendly and helpful. Our rooms were generously sized, spotless and there were lots of touches that really went above and beyond other places we've stayed. Breakfast was delicious and had a really personal service. Cannot fault and cannot recommend enough!
the staff were very friendly. t he hotel could do with a good clean. it’s a good location too just was a bit hard to find on the sat nav but we got there eventually. it’s very old school. the pub what’s there is good if you like punk rock and the staff are very welcoming .
It’s a scam and the hotel doesn’t exist no more. When I arrived I saw a security guard in the car park and asked him do I get charged for parking. He said no but this in now an inactive hotel and I was the 8th person that turned up that day. How do I get a refund please?
The property is immaculate and well maintained.
The owner of the hotel is very knowledgeable and has given me life-changing advice. This type of service is priceless. Thank 281, I will never forgot my stay SERIOUSLY!!!
An Absolutely Superb Hotel👍🏿🙌🏿👍🏿
The apartment had everything you could ever dream of needing. The location was excellent for an evening in Mansfield. The communication with the host was excellent and pictures to help with the location and lock boxes were reassuring.
Fantastic breakfast. Eccentric place, but a great place to stay. The decor is extraordinary. It's very plush and quite unique. Quiet, leafy, and fairly posh part of Mansfield. Old characterful house in large gardens. Friendly owners.
The flat was nice though didn’t match the photos on here (no corner sofa) which are probably for a different flat in the same building. All was clean. Good location for visiting relatives in Mansfield. Good secure allocated parking.
All the comforts and privacy of your own compact home away from home. The beds were comfortable, the location was very peaceful, quiet and had secure parking. All a very short distance from Mansfield town centre.
Lovely big house with some great touches. The lounge and breakfast room are very grand and although my bedroom was quirky I really liked it. Nick the owner was very welcoming and couldn’t do enough for me.
The apartment was absolutely superb, wanted for nothing, great location.
Check in was super easy and fully explained. I travel to Mansfield about once a month so if available I will stay here again.
it was everything we needed. The apartment was spotless and the housekeeping staff (Julie in particular) were beyond outstanding. Her service alone would make us book again.
