We felt so welcome as Darren was so good to keep us informed & even put the subtitles on TV for us as we are deaf. The room was so cosy & comfortable.

The young man, member of staff, helped me to sort out a payment by phone to the private car park because I had gone over the free 10 minutes time allowed. This is the only positive thing I experienced. He was very kind and helpful. Prior to this, I had been left waiting in the reception for over 10 minutes, whilst the receptionist served a large group of football supporters in the bar.

Wonderful studio in a fabulous location! Ideal for walking into the town centre or just a short Uber drive away. The studio had everything that I needed for my nights stay and all communication with the host was excellent. Couldn’t recommend the accommodation enough. There was even a fan which in this hot weather was a lovely bonus! 😄

A really interesting house with exiting nooks and crannies everywhere. There was so much room and the value for money was phenomenal. Highly recommend.
We wanted a half way point on our journey. Lovely compact town. Good convenient parking available.
Sadly as a lot of towns are going, a bit tired and being taken over by barbers, nail bars and takeaways. A lot of slightly sad tired people about. But we found a lovely café Sensation 21, friendly staff, great food and a good strong cup of tea! It has some lovely old buildings and a lovely market square, just a case of trying to look beyond the obvious.

I loved Ravenscroft, we parked there and walked into town, only found one pub which would allow my little dog in, but the toilets were rather grotty, so we left. We also walked to the Black Bull at Mansfield Wood House, which welcomed our dogs, the toilets were fantastic, the disabled toilet had a seat raiser, 1st time in decades I could get off the toilet with out struggling. The food was worth the money, I'd happily come back for the gammon and pineapple. The bar staff was lovely.

The town centre is very run down with empty and dilapidated shops, mainly nail bars, hair salons, vaping, used phones and cafes. The eating ioptions that are both wheelchair and dog friendly are very limited. There are some charity shops. I can't vouch for the four seasons shopping centre as I had to mind the dog outside. There is a nice pet shop which welcomed him and provided some reasonably priced toys and treats.

We were made to feel very welcome by our friendly hosts. The whole place was beautifully furnished very quirky with an abundance of antique furnishings bone china lovely biscuits/ tea and coffee selection in the room. The attention to detail in our room and en-suite was fantastic from the lighting to the furnishings and we had a super breakfast before leaving. It was also fantastic value for money and highly recommendable 😀

Great location for the theatre, Old victorian Hotel with character but rooms a little tired with old fashioned bedding but bed very comfortable and everything in your room you need for a short stay. Unfortunately the breakfast although beautifully presented wasn't good mainly due to poor quality sausages, one bite and it put me off the rest of my full English. My suggestion would be to spend more on food quality than little plastic bottles of environmentally unfriendly toiletries . The guest welcome could also have been better. Also no bar or restaurant open for dinner on Friday evening., website says no bar or restaurant at the weekend and when my husband and I asked about dinner fir Friday evening ( the night of our stay) we were told that they classed Friday as the weekend, in my opinion this is a working week day .

I originate from Mansfield so it is always a pleasure to return. The town like most others I visit is not as vibrant as it once was but I believe measures are in place for big improvements. The Rushley Inn a few hundred yards away from 281 Rooms is very handy as is the mini Tesco store opposite the Inn. Frequent buses to Mansfield and Nottingham. 281 Rooms is situated in a lovely residential area
Room was
Like a sauna despite asking hotel to turn off radiator which they never Did. Noremote for tv despite two requests
I left without staying there but no refund received
it was everything we needed. The apartment was spotless and the housekeeping staff (Julie in particular) were beyond outstanding. Her service alone would make us book again.
