Manchester city is okay for a day, but the beauty lies beyond with the tours to the peak and Lake District.
Trains leaving heading south and onto wales are a nightmare , big gaps , couple of steps . On a Sunday have the size 3 carriages had to stand from Ludlow to Manchester . Train staff won’t help with cases
The room was gorgeous and so nice to have facilities to cook if we'd wanted to.
The location was amazing, directly opposite the Arndale shopping centre, next to Manchester Cathedral and minutes away from Manchester Arena and the Football Association Museum.
Loads of places to eat and drink within a short walk of the hotel, would be an ideal location for a celebration e.g. hen night or big birthday.
Good transport links.
We only stayed for one night but the room was so comfy we could have easily stayed a few more days.
I have stayed at this hotel twice in the past month and will hopefully be returning every time I travel to Manchester. I used to stay at either the Hilton hotels or Premier Inn if I was staying for the whole week due to the price but this hotel just has everything I need, it's nice and clean and the staff are lovely.
There's room service (although I haven't used it yet), the location is ideal with sainsburys and tesco just a short walk away as well as other food stores and the room has such lovely character to it.
Absolutely loved this hotel! It's brand new, located at the heart of Manchester in the most buzzing street with the best restaurants, bars and only a short walk from all the shops. The staff were super friendly and helpful. Unfortunately, we were only there for a short stay so did not have the chance to check out the facilities however, the rooms were all super clean and the bathrooms were all equipped with L'Occtinate products which was a super nice surprise! We will definitely be going back.
Front staff were extremely courteous and welcoming. We were treated very well and always greeted upon arrival and departure from the hotel. Room was very nice - comfortable bed, adequate bathroom, and room service was always prompt and timely. Great location near the Manchester Piccadilly rail station for trams, underground, and cross-country trains. Very close to coffee shops, quick food shops, and pubs/shopping.
My 4th stay, great location and facilities. room is very clean. great value for money. I have stayed at diff budget hotels in Manchester City and found this is the best, given the price range and the distance so close to city centre.
Staff were very helpful especially the new receptionist from Hong Kong (forgot to ask her name but she was at night shift on 11-12th) , she is so nice and attentive.
The room wasn't big or anything but it was really comfortable and it had everything we could need. What made our stay even better was the staff - they were really kind, helpful and welcoming and went above and beyond to make our stay good. The hotel is right next to the city centre. We would be back again our next time at Manchester.
We went to a gig at the 02 in Manchester so we needed somewhere to stay this was excellent we was upset in wasn't in the heart of the city centre but it worked to our advantage as it nearer the 02 academy no pubs near the hotel but again as it was comfy we went to the shop and had a drink in the room
We like the Novotel brand, and this Manchester city centre location did not disappoint. Stayed over to visit the Xmas markets, and while these were just about ok, the hotel has a great central location and very close to Manchester Picadilly train station, and China Town for our evening meal.
Excellent breakfast. Nice comfy room and excellent bed space and mattress. Bar service was for all other hotels to aspire to. Parking facilities were adequate in nearby Euro car park. Not the prettiest part of Manchester but good for the Palace Theatre.
An excellent location with friendly staff. The feel of a premium hotel but the price of a semi budget hotel. Overall, I can’t complain. I would recommend this to anyone looking to stay in Manchester Central without wanting to break the bank.
My partner and I had the best time we have ever had in a hotel. The Terrace suite is above and beyond what we were expecting and we would come back to Manchester and stay at the Brooklyn in a heartbeat!!
Excellent hotel right in the heart of Manchester City Centre. The staff are attentive and friendly. Lovely atmosphere in the hotel and decorated beautifully. The bar and restaurant are both excellent.
Fabulous new hotel in Manchester. All the staff were excellent and made us feel welcome. Room was gorgeous. Perfect location for the night life in the city centre. Would highly recommend.
Great, central location that is handy for everywhere in Manchester City centre. The hotel itself is smartly presented. The bedroom was large, HUGE bed and great air con!
Location is okay and great for people traveling from and to Manchester Airport otherwise without a vehicle it’s difficult to navigate from hotel to city centre
