The Capital of the North

With an industrial past and a modern outlook, the complex fabric of Manchester is interlaced with interesting museums, English pubs and shopping centres.

Dash straight into the luxurious Selfridges and Triangle departments stores before checking out the old-English charm of the Shambles.

Manchester wouldn’t be the same without its 2 famous football clubs and fans can go wild at either of the Old Trafford or City of Manchester Stadiums. Music fans will adore the many shows performed at the Manchester Arena, the largest of its type in Europe, and the BBC Philharmonic Orchestra.

The cultural foundations of this predominantly red-brick city are on display at the Manchester Museum and the People’s History Museum. If art is you preference, the extensive pre-Raphaelite collection at the Manchester Art Gallery is a sight to behold.

Manchester city is okay for a day, but the beauty lies beyond with the tours to the peak and Lake District. Trains leaving heading south and onto wales are a nightmare , big gaps , couple of steps . On a Sunday have the size 3 carriages had to stand from Ludlow to Manchester . Train staff won’t help with cases

The room was gorgeous and so nice to have facilities to cook if we'd wanted to. The location was amazing, directly opposite the Arndale shopping centre, next to Manchester Cathedral and minutes away from Manchester Arena and the Football Association Museum. Loads of places to eat and drink within a short walk of the hotel, would be an ideal location for a celebration e.g. hen night or big birthday. Good transport links. We only stayed for one night but the room was so comfy we could have easily stayed a few more days.

I have stayed at this hotel twice in the past month and will hopefully be returning every time I travel to Manchester. I used to stay at either the Hilton hotels or Premier Inn if I was staying for the whole week due to the price but this hotel just has everything I need, it's nice and clean and the staff are lovely. There's room service (although I haven't used it yet), the location is ideal with sainsburys and tesco just a short walk away as well as other food stores and the room has such lovely character to it.

Absolutely loved this hotel! It's brand new, located at the heart of Manchester in the most buzzing street with the best restaurants, bars and only a short walk from all the shops. The staff were super friendly and helpful. Unfortunately, we were only there for a short stay so did not have the chance to check out the facilities however, the rooms were all super clean and the bathrooms were all equipped with L'Occtinate products which was a super nice surprise! We will definitely be going back.

My 4th stay, great location and facilities. room is very clean. great value for money. I have stayed at diff budget hotels in Manchester City and found this is the best, given the price range and the distance so close to city centre. Staff were very helpful especially the new receptionist from Hong Kong (forgot to ask her name but she was at night shift on 11-12th) , she is so nice and attentive.
