Taplow is a lovely place, if you like walking there are some lovely walks along the footpath along tha river, whether you turn left or right out of the hotel, nice restaurants walking distance.
Some lovely boat trips/excursions by river to places like Windsor and not expensive, info can be found at reception.

We have traveled a lot of the years and YOY was friendly and organised.
The only thing worth mentioning is the stairs are steep and it maybe a problem if someone have heavy cases or a knee disability. Overall, everything else was good. Plenty of everything and the owners try hard to make your stay a happy one.

We only stayed one night but about half a mile away from the hotel we found a restaurant which overlooks the Thames and had a wonderful meal which made up a little for the disappointment with the hotel we booked

Boulters Mill and Ray Mill Island were fabulous to walk around, had a nice coffee in a lovely spot at the Piazza just a little further on from the Boathouse which we sat at but didn't order at as they were coming into lunch service and we just wanted coffee. Ate on a very warm summer's evening at Roux at Skindles Mill which was on our doorstep having stayed at the Thames Riveria Hotel. We sat on the terrace and ate a most delightful meal, finished up at the Hall & Woodhouse Boatyard at which we sat outside all evening as very warm. All in all a superb day with lots of lovely things to do and places to go. Evening before we had gone to the Bear near Maidenhead town and that was very pleasant and reasonable as you would expect from Wetherspoons.

Good stay but I belive it should be made clear that there are two buildings and you may not actually stay in the hotel building but the adjacent building and our room did not have a safe or dressing gown and slippers as other rooms do.

The accommodation is within walking distance of the river...
The accommodation is within walking distance of the river and there is an excellent Thai restaurant in the next street and I can highly recommend the food. My trip was for work purposes, so I didn't have time for sightseeing.
It is in a great location on the bank of the river Thames and is walkable from there into the centre of Maidenhead.
It is a quirky hotel in terms of the architecture and the layout but I mean that as a big positive, it is good to be able to stay somewhere with a different style to it.
The owner and other people working there were really friendly and accommodating to dietary needs
We stayed at Thames Riviera Hotel for 3 nights and really liked the views and surrounding area. Staff were helpful. Breakfast was good. Room was really nice, with a river view. We had small issue at the beginning which was resolved very quickly. It's a 3 star hotel so don't expect luxury and 10s of food choices for breakfast. But we really enjoyed our stay.
The location is very convenient, at a walking distante to City Center and train station. Restaurant is convenient with a nice view of the river Thames. Hotel was recently remodeled, room was comfortable, very clean, new linens. Staff was friendly and professional. It was a very nice stay.
It was secure, clean, roomy, and quiet. Modern
and up to date with usb ports in all
the rooms. Grocery store across the
street, little clean town with shops pub
and restaurants in walking distance.
Maidenhead train station close walk,
bus and uber with ease and quick.
Having previously stayed in various other budget hotels in Maidenhead I was delighted to have found such private, welcoming, clean, and comfortable accommodation. I don't even sleep as well as I did here in my own bed!
All the staff were very helpful, couldn’t do enough for you very friendly.
Loved the hotel the surrounding area, so relaxing.
When we enquired about the age of the hotel we were even given a booklet for us to read
Staff kindness.
Excellent food/restaurant meals and menu
Excellent option for breakfast and dinner included
Good sauna and Jacuzzi facilities
Peaceful hotel and surrounding/garden
The location was amazing and unlike a lot of hotels in the area had onsite parking which was a big bonus. The breakfast was really good and the staff amazing and helpful.
The Hotel is a little run down but adequate for a one night stay and close to Heathrow. The host was friendly and very helpful. Parking on the property was a bonus.
