Lytham is a small town which you are able to walk around easily. Good hotels are limited and therefore the Clifton Arms does not have a lot of competition, on saying they it is a very good Hotel. Staff are exceptional and well into customer service. A delightful young man welcomed us at Reception and inform us that we had an upgrade.
Breakfast was a little disappointing (menu suggested otherwise). As I do not eat meat and therefore excluded the bacon and black pudding one would have thought that the plate would have therefore had more of what I choose - not the case.
All in all a good Hotel - Staff make it a Great hotel.

We stayed in a beach front flat , it was close to the main shops and the beach. Walking is easy as everywhere is flat. It was difficult to find somewhere to eat as the town was very very busy, which wasn’t a problem to be honest we were so impressed to see everyone out having a great time, good for the local economy.

St Anne`s shopping area is not quite as good but it leads straight to the pier & beach area. Lots of nice walks. Fairhaven lake area very pretty.

All the staff we met were very friendly, willing to go out of their way to help guests with various requests; from Reception to night porter/barman, to the ladies at breakfast time. Very comfortable hotel, with a nice cosy bar to relax in after the festival. Would stay here again, if returning to Lytham. Indoor pool also available to guests, and an outdoor garden area to enjoy during your stay, if not out and about. Very handy for buses to Lytham for the festival.
The breakfast was lovely, lots of choice and served quickly. The staff were very friendly and informative. Very relaxing clean hotel. Great location to St Anne's beach, shops, public transport outside to get to Blackpool and Lytham. I stayed in a twin room beds were very comfortable, room was immaculate, could of just done with a little more shelving in the bathroom but that's not a negative just a suggestion. Will definitely be back.
I visited for 2 nights with a friend three weeks ago & as a result of that visit decided to come back for 4 nights with my husband.
The breakfast was good quality & there was plenty of choice. On both occasions our room was spacious & clean. The hotel is in a good location, on the seafront & access to the bus stop for Blackpool or Lytham.
The staff were friendly & always happy to help.
We would definitely return.
A really good experience, this is the first time we have stayed at the hotel and everything was better than expected. The staff were amazing, and the service was excellent. We ate in the bar restaurant each night as we had our dog with us, and the experience was really good. Excellent choice for food, and the quality was as good as a 4/5 star hotel.
If we were to come back to Lytham we would stay here again.
Beautiful hotel. Excellent restaurant facilities. Comfortable and spacious. Well designed and decorated. Same for the bedroom. Really nice, tasteful and luxurious. The en-suite appeared to be brand new. Everywhere exceptionally clean. All the staff were outstanding. Exceptional views over the estuary particularly at sunrise and sunset. Only about 50 yards from Lytham High St with its lovely shops.
we have stayed at the County hotel 3 or 4 times now and we like it because it’s so handy for everything in Lytham, the staff are nice, the rooms are reasonably priced, the rooms are clean and a good size, the bathroom facilities are spacious with everything you need. Also bar and restaurant in hotel has nice food and variety of beers. It’s perfect for our needs.
The host were very nice and chatty, they made you feel at home and were very welcoming,
There is a louge and a front conservatory type seating area where you can chill out and watch the world go by,
Free parking on the driveway at front of hotel
Breakfast was good, cereals, fresh bread, jams/honey, fresh fruit, yogurts and cook breakfast on request
Hotel has recently been refurbished.
Excellent breakfast, didn't dine in hotel but people seemed happy with their meals
Dog friendly but no beds or bowla in rooms
St Annes as a location (other than beach and dunes) is pretty tired and has seen better days.
Nearby Lytham, however, surrives.
Again, another superb experience with Susan and the team. An excellent breakfast, spotless rooms and THE most convenient location in the St.Anne's area. Exceptional vaue for money and probably the best hotel in the town. I recommend this hotel unreservedly.
Really friendly and accommodating staff went out of their way to help
The bed was really comfy
The room was really nice and modern
