We always enjoy our stay at the Glendower and think this is the best of a few others we have stayed in in the past.
We like to upgrade to a sea view room, these are spacious and comfortable and worth paying the extra for.
Everywhere is very clean and the staff are friendly.
Breakfast is good and has table waiting service.
The car park is a good size but gets busy because lots of people go there for lunch etc.

Lytham is a small town which you are able to walk around easily. Good hotels are limited and therefore the Clifton Arms does not have a lot of competition, on saying they it is a very good Hotel. Staff are exceptional and well into customer service. A delightful young man welcomed us at Reception and inform us that we had an upgrade.
Breakfast was a little disappointing (menu suggested otherwise). As I do not eat meat and therefore excluded the bacon and black pudding one would have thought that the plate would have therefore had more of what I choose - not the case.
All in all a good Hotel - Staff make it a Great hotel.

We stayed in a beach front flat , it was close to the main shops and the beach. Walking is easy as everywhere is flat. It was difficult to find somewhere to eat as the town was very very busy, which wasn’t a problem to be honest we were so impressed to see everyone out having a great time, good for the local economy.

St Anne`s shopping area is not quite as good but it leads straight to the pier & beach area. Lots of nice walks. Fairhaven lake area very pretty.

St annes is perfect place for family break with the option to travel through to blackpool or the shops and cafes in lytham. St annes is a place my small children love due to the sandy beach and amusement at the pier lots of memories to be made.

All the staff we met were very friendly, willing to go out of their way to help guests with various requests; from Reception to night porter/barman, to the ladies at breakfast time. Very comfortable hotel, with a nice cosy bar to relax in after the festival. Would stay here again, if returning to Lytham. Indoor pool also available to guests, and an outdoor garden area to enjoy during your stay, if not out and about. Very handy for buses to Lytham for the festival.
Arriving at the property we were blown away . The deco was fantastic better than any 5star hotel . The property was in the heart of lytham with shops restaurants and bars mins walk away . The wines and chocolates and a little welcome card made our stay extra special . There was also water milk and tea coffee and sugar . These little extras were great . We only stayed the one night but really wished we had booked longer . We will be booking again very soon .
We have stayed at the HY Hotel on several occasions. It is perfect for a young family. The rooms are spacious, the hotel is in a good state of repair and the pool and gym are great. The location is perfect for Lytham and Blackpool, free parking and the staff are very friendly. We have stayed at all the hotels in the Lytham area that have a swimming pool, but HY Hotel is always our first choice now.
The hotel is very spacious, particularly around the bar area, with comfortable seating and areas where you can enjoy privacy. The coffee/tea and biscuits in the room, which are replenished daily, were very welcoming. The reception staff were very helpful. The hotel is situated in the most perfect location to enjoy the facilities, shops and walks in Lytham.
Location excellent for all of Lytham facilities. Hotel was spotlessly clean and has had a recent upgrade. Didn't have any food but the breakfast menu looked ample. Would definitely stay again. On reflection, breakfast could have been included in the price, although there are many cafés available and even a Witherspoon's for cheap food.
Exceeded my expectations for a 3 star hotel. The hotel was nicely decorated, our room was larger than expected, the staff were brilliant and the breakfast was great. The price was higher than normal but I booked late and it was peak demand due to Lytham festival.
Breakfast was good. Was disappointed about parking at the hotel as very few spaces and all were taken. Had to park in council car park. No facility for 24 he parking. Had to move car before 9am following day. Maximum 2 hr parking on road opposite hotel !
Excellent location, value for money, cleanliness, very peaceful at night for a relaxing sleep, good breakfast and a very friendly helpful professional host. I would highly recommend this hotel for a relaxing holiday break in a very pretty seaside resort.
Great location by the Sea, we arrived early and leaving car was no problem. Hotel was busy but no issue as check in and out was easy. Loads of facilites for families - we were only there for a short time, but if in Lytham again will return.
The room was beautiful with sea view, perfect location. Short distance the the lytham beach, the prom, shops and bars.
The hotel meals was lovely, we had a lovely dinner and the staff are ever so friendly xx
Went for a friends birthday as they have stayed in Lytham St Annes in the past. No real issues with hotel. A little overpriced for the standard of the rooms and facilities.
Stunning rooms, beautiful meal downstairs in the evening but I have to say the breakfast was far the best we have had, what a choice. We absolutely recommend this hotel.
All around a very friendly and homely environment. More welcoming and cosy than a chain hotel for sure. Staff were very friendly and accommodating to individual needs.
It was great location for the Lytham festival. Staff were very friendly and bar staff put snacks on when the festival finished, forcthose returning to the hotel
