Excellent location with beautiful views. Perfect location for walking in Exmoor and Valley of the Rocks. The room was clean and comfortable with character. The shower was particularly good with a heated towel rail. Parking was easy and we were able to leave our car at the hotel even after checkout.
It was very quiet in the hotel as the bar closed at 9pm. The sounds of the river were very relaxing.

Loved everything about this hotel. The room was spotless and we loved the little extras that came with it. The breakfast was delicious and the service was outstanding. Our whole experience was one of the best we have had. We will definitely be staying again !

This is the nicest little B&B you could wish for! Lovely room, great facilities, fantastic location, exceptional breakfast, and it is clear that the owners really want to make sure their guests have the best possible experience.
Evrywhere in Lynmouth is uphill. It tries to retain its historic charm whilst inundated with tourists. The early mornings and evenings in Lynmouth are wonderfully relaxed quiet and totally at variant with the manic day times. The walks along the East Lyn and up to Lynton are incredible but not for the faint hearted. The temperate forest on the sides of the valleys was amazing. I will never forget it.

Very quaint.
Very quaint. It is known as Little Switzerland and certainly lives up to that name. We ate at our hotel The Rock House and at The Village Inn. Also breakfast one morning at The Rising Sun (sister hotel of The Rock House.)Everything is within walking distance. All the shops are gift shops or food outlets. Nearest small supermarkets are up in Lynton, easily accessed by the Cliff Railway. There are no Banks, Post Office or ATMs in Lynmouth. Most pubs and hotels only accept card payments.

We first came here 46 years ago on honeymoon so it was great to come back again for our anniversary (we have visited several times over the years) and not much has changed. It is still beautiful, friendly, quiet and a place we will return to again.

A great place to relax and enjoy the area.A good selection of bars and restaurants but yo need to go into Linton for grocery or pharmacist.
Dog friendly with plenty of parking.
The tourist office bear the harbour will give good advice how to spend your time depending on your preferences and mobility.
We plan to return in the late autumn.
A lovely place to stay with very friendly hosts. We enjoyed our sea view room and the amazing views from the lounge and breakfast/dining room. Breakfast was varied and generous and it was only a few minutes walk down to the centre of Lynmouth. Plus a good sized public car park opposite the hotel.
I chose this hotel for its location and limited parking. The breakfast was limited, particularly the 'Continental' . We liked the views from Rm 6 and the sound of the sea at night. We were well looked after by Beth, who was doing nearly everything except the cooking and rooms.
A superb location on the north Devon coast with individually styled rooms, most offering a sea view. The breakfast was worth getting up for and there was plenty of walks and places to visit in the area.
The location was ideal for our journey along the North Devon Coast. We were made very welcome on arrival and Jan and her team were excellent throughout.
Dinner was first class, as was breakfast.
