Rose cottage, hotel in Lugwardine

Situated in Wellington, in a historic building, 7.9 km from Hampton Court Castle & Gardens, Rose cottage is a holiday home with free bikes and garden.

Lovely location, situated on a campsite, means there is plenty of space to walk around with the dogs. You can take a stroll around the pond and over a lovely little bridge and feel like you are in another world. The cottage itself is beautifully decorated, very cosy, and has everything you need. Tracie, the host, is lovely, very informative, and makes you feel very welcome.

White House Farm, hotel in Lugwardine

Located in Ocle Pychard and only 41 km from Kingsholm Stadium, White House Farm provides accommodation with garden views, free WiFi and free private parking.

Tiny, two-room B&B, but with very experienced hostess, so the best of both worlds for me. Parts of the property date back to the Domesday Book, so history fans like me will get a frisson. The (included!) breakfast was superb - the best of this tour - with the best fried tomato I've ever had (from her sister's greenhouse!). Room lovely, garden view delightful, and the proffered cup of tea on arrival all contributed to big-time relaxation.
