This was a proper old fashioned bed and breakfast of the highest standard. The owners met us at the door on arrival and assisted with our parking, luggage and any questions about the house and area. The room was lovely and spotlessly clean. We had a choice of breakfast options that we booked in advance and these were delivered to the dining room when we arrived in the morning.
Offering a garden and garden view, Stable Barn, Saffron Meadow, Lostwithiel is located in Lostwithiel, 2.9 km from Restormel Castle and 10 km from Eden Project.

Lostwithiel is a lovely, old stannary town with historic buildings, a number of good restaurants/pubs/take-aways, a grocery co-op, fascinating museum, small shops, and cafes. There is a lovely walk along the river to a beautiful, old stone bridge. Park in the free parking lot. The Lostwithiel Festival in May is great fun with lots of good food and drink. Lostwithiel is centrally located for many great places to visit and activities, festivals, etc. in Cornwall.

We loved this Bed and Breakfast.
We loved this Bed and Breakfast. It was top notch, yet comfortable and welcoming. There were six of us in our group and everyone felt the same way. We ate dinner at the Old Globe Inn. It was also excellent. Both places easily accommodated the dietary restrictions of one person in our group.

Lots of shops and restaurant very quiet over Christmas and facilities shut. However, before and after Christmas hols very interesting with lots of restaurants and little shops. Church offered Midnight Mass. We booked for Duchy of Cornwall restaurant for all our lunches, which was fabulous as well as shop full of Bungalow items and garden plants and pots etc Christmas gifts galore! . Booked for Christmas Lunch at Michell's in Polperro, lovely Pate and Christmas pudding was light and lovely, this restaurant was only 20 mins away by car with car parking. Lostwithiel has lots of lovely country side with many places to walk and explore. We intend to revisit.

Pictuesque old town once you turn off the main road.
Pictuesque old town once you turn off the main road. However, be aware many of the roads are very narrow and some are very steep. Some junctions are impossible to drive around, so dont trust your satnav!

A welcoming host, everything was just right: the kitchen, the bathroom, also colourwise everything was coordinated bathtube, tiles, towels ecc.; nice books were available. Lostwithiel has akso an interesting story; the nearby castle is very interesting and offers a nice 20' walk
The property is a self contained little flat in the garden of the main property which has its own entrance and is very quiet. Annalie was really helpful and flexible, even proactively offering a later checkout. The place is small but has everything you need. While there isn't a dedicated parking space, there was plenty of on road parking nearby so isn't an issue. Would definitely recommend a stay.
The cottage is very spacious and well set out. It is based in the most amazing little town of Lostwithiel which is absolutely stunning just like the cottage. The host was amazing and so very friendly and warming. Absolutely fantastic place would recommend to anyone. Looking forward to coming back for many more stays.
I was in Cornwall to attend a wedding and stayed in a lovely double room with a nice seating area and there was a newly refurbished ensuite and I was very comfortable during my 2 nights stay. I was made very welcome and the Owner and staff were very friendly and helpful. I would definitely stay there again.
Great location and beautiful modern apartment. Great amenities and lots of space. Bedrooms very stylish and comfortable. Tv in every bedroom. Balcony to sir out on and watch the world go by but also very quiet. Definitely the best property I have stayed in in Cornwall.
Chris and Hydie were extremely accommodating and polite. We wished we could have stayed longer. Breakfast was great, the room was extremely comfortable and the views were spectacular. Lostwithiel itself is so calm and peaceful, we went to the Globe for dinner and wow!
All the staff were friendly and helpful. The Hotel was clean and comfortable. We were given the option of an upgraded room, but our room was big enough and comfortable. The restaurant did lovely meals with very good portion sizes, and breakfast was very good.
Lostwithiel had a lovely community feel, and we ended up staying an extra night. Cottage was comfortable and well located, parking was not too far away. Hist was extremely helpful and lovely pastries on arrival. Perfect for exploring this part of Cornwall
The cottage was lovely, well-equipped and reasonably priced for the area. We enjoyed the friendly pub next door and the village environment. It was a great base to explore Cornwall. The manager responded quickly to any questions we had.
Lovely hotel in a beautiful village with amazing atmosphere. The best food we had during our trip around Cornwall. The nicest people too. Absolutely recommended.
Thank you Jack, thank you Chef, it’s been a pleasure.
Breakfast was excellent and set us up well for the day. Loved our room on the top floor with a nice view of Lostwithiel. The bathroom was spacious and highly functional, and everything was very clean.
Friendly proprietor, but not overly intrusive. Lovely setting and a great location from which to explore Cornwall. Clean, tidy, spacious and lots of character to this property. Thank You Pia.
A lovely little cottage with all facilities. Close to the small but beautiful town of Lostwithiel, with lots of independent shops, restaurants and cafes. I felt very much at home here
Pia is lovely and very helpful. Great location (and the pubs and various eateries in Lostwithiel are walkable and of good quality) and very serene for those who like a "quiet" getaway.
Chris and Heidi are great hosts, very welcoming and made our stay very comfortable.
Lovely breakfasts.
Comfortable room with plenty of space.
Close to centre of Lostwithiel.
Lovely, well equipped apartment in a great location to explore Cornwall. The apartment was perfect for a break over the holidays - would definitely recommend staying here.
