On Princes Street, opposite the Scott Monument and National Gallery, Mercure Edinburgh City - Princes Street Hotel has an excellent location, a friendly atmosphere and views of Edinburgh Castle.
In the heart of historic Edinburgh, ibis Edinburgh Centre Royal Mile is just off of the historic Royal Mile. The stylish hotel has a lively bar and spacious rooms with internet access.
Radisson Blu Hotel, Edinburgh City Center features a spa/ fitness center, bar and bedrooms with free Wi-Fi. Waverley train station is just a 5-minute walk away.

Situated on Royal Mile made it easy to walk to main attractions around city. Could easily walk 10 minutes to train or bus station. Cab service arranged by hotel for 6am to airport. was right on time. We had a 6th floor room over looking Royal Mile made it interesting. Included breakfast buffet was extensive with high quality foods hot, cold or vegan. Hot beverages were made to order from coffees to teas.
Overlooking Edinburgh Castle and Waverley Station, the 4-star Scotsman Hotel was originally built in 1905. This majestic, listed building was once The Scotsman newspaper.

You can’t beat the location - so close to lovely pubs, shopping and Old Town historic sites! The room was spacious for three. The staff was helpful and friendly. I will definitely stay here again!!

Rooms and bath excellent
Front desk ordered a cab for morning trip to airport.
Just off the Royal Mile and near Edinburgh Castle, the boutique Fraser Suites Edinburgh hotel features a gym and a restaurant. There are superb views across Princes Street Gardens.

Unfortunately I wasn't there for pleasure - although it is convenient for visiting Roslyn Church. It is also convenient for taking pets to the University of Edinburgh Royal School of Veterinary Studies & Animal Hospital. If you are a solo traveller it is a very safe and welcoming, comfortable place to stay. Found my way around Loanhead - Shopping outlet nearby.
