Staff were very friendly and efficient at breakfast. It was lovely to come out of the shower onto the underfloor heating. It was nice to see the owners had tried to keep the room furnishings in line with the age of the building. We stayed at the hotel for 4 nights so the staff got to know what we liked for breakfast.

Our stay at Tirindrish House was fantastic. Everything was above excellent, including the location, the house and furnishings, the delicious breakfast, the beautiful art by Lucy, the kind reception and check-out, the well-stocked lounge with Scottish books, and the beautiful gardens. I wish we were able to stay longer than a night.

Loved the place.
Found the pot holes quite unbelievable. It’s a country wide problem I know, but I’ve never seen so many dangerous pot holes on the roads. Sadly we got Quite a big bill for the one we went over.

The views are simply stunning and beautiful.
The views are simply stunning and beautiful.
Our room overlooked the loch simply stunning 😊
Would be nice to have had the property lit up for night travellers new to the area and location.
Also would be lovely to meet the carers of the lodge too so face to face communication is readily avaliable for the lodge users.
If staying with family be aware of noise from other people around the house as it can feel loud due to the lodge being small.
Apart from that free parking and beautiful location of rural Scotland 😊

Great location, very friendly staff, clean and comfortable...
Great location, very friendly staff, clean and comfortable hotel.
There s a cosy well stocked bar, a restaurant overlooking the loch and excellent service.
The food is good with an Indian style although local dishes and produce are also well featured. The buffet breakfast is very good and will set you up for the day. The Hotel also offers guests without their own transport a drop off and collect service in the local area allowing one way walks to be planned.
Self contained apartments are also available on site as is a Spa treatment service which my wife thoroughly recommends.
This is one of three in the chain of Black Sheep hotels in the Highlands.

Re - Osprey Suite, Letterfinlay House Lodge.
Arrival -
Re - Osprey Suite, Letterfinlay House Lodge.
Arrival -
On arrival we found the accommodation to be filthy and not Covid prepared. See pics of kitchen and sitting room. The deck furniture was rusty and not fit for use. The deck table had smear of sticky clear liquid on its surface. We were informed that complimentary wine was available for us - no complimentary wine was available for us.
The accommodation claims “Extra health & safety measures” re Coronavirus. This is not apparent and doesn’t exist.
Communication -
We called the owner to make complaint re above within the hour of arrival. I informed him of the shocking presentation. His manner was initially defensive and then, very quickly, aggressive and unpleasant. He put the phone down on me, made no further offer of explanation or support and left my partner completely traumatised. We immediately left the property after the call.
Verdict -
Utterly appalling presentation of holiday accommodation and customer service - especially with prevalence of Covid and expected standards of hygiene. The owner has refused to reimburse our holiday fee - £470. We are liaising with booking.com and external tourism related advisors to recover our costs with added compensation for additional expenses and trauma that we incurred.

This is a great base for exploring the surrounding area...
This is a great base for exploring the surrounding area either by foot or car with Fort William about 10 miles to the South. That is if you can draw yourself away from the hotel's relaxing atmosphere and stunning views!
I absolutely loved our stay here! It’s a quaint, even quirky, hotel run by mother and son team, Christian and Ian. The food was exceptional, the service and welcome superb. Our room was comfortable, perfectly clean, and decorated, like the rest of the hotel, with vintage ‘collectibles’. Maybe not to your taste if you are looking for a sharp, modern hotel, but for us, it really delivered. Will definitely return.
The location is breathtaking and the hotel compliments its location perfectly. From the beautifully appointed room to the terrace, every tiny detail is perfectly poised. I felt spoiled from start to finish and wished I had lingering to decompress in this magical place
The staff were very friendly and attentive, all faults were quickly rectified, food was good, however, for dinner bed and breakfast, the dinner menu was limited. Breakfast was great couldn't fault it.
The room was nicely furnished and very clean. The bed was comfortable. Parking was onsite and free. Spectacular views from the car park across the loch and handy for the hotel restaurant next door.
