Corriegour Lodge Hotel, hotel in Letterfinlay

This beautiful former hunting lodge enjoys a spectacular location, set in 9 acres of woodland overlooking Loch Lochy.

I adore this place. Family run business. They go out of their way to make you feel incredibly welcome. The food is fantastic. Beautiful location next to the Loch and they even lend you fishing rods to try your luck at catching some dinner. Lovely bar to relax in after dinner, living room with a cosy fire to have a drink before dinner and the rooms are really comfortable and clean. I can't wait to visit again!

The Whispering Pine Lodge, hotel in Letterfinlay

The Whispering Pine Lodge is a tranquil Highland retreat set against a backdrop of steep forested mountains on the banks of Loch Lochy.

Loved that it was dog friendly and had a we gift for my dog. Stunning view/location. Breakfast was amazing! I could also see they're in the process of building a sauna and hot tub which will really elevate what they have with the spa. Staff were really friendly and accommodating. My dog felt like a celebrity trotting down the halls and having doors open for her

Letterfinlay Lodge House, hotel in Letterfinlay

Letterfinlay Lodge House, a property with a garden, is situated in Letterfinlay, 43 km from Loch Linnhe, 47 km from Glenfinnan Station Museum, as well as 24 km from Ben Nevis Whisky Distillery.

The best part of my stay here was cleanliness and the hot shower. After a long day of hiking, a nice hot powerful shower is just pure bliss and the room I stayed in had a lovely clean and spacious shower with excellent water pressure and hot water. The second best part was the thoughtfulness of a fridge in the room. Everything was spotlessly clean. Good tea / coffee / breakfast facilities. I was in touch with Smaxi regarding arrival times, entry codes, etc. and the communication was timely, friendly and excellent.

Great Glen Hostel, hotel in Letterfinlay

Set in Spean Bridge, 34 km from Glen Nevis, Great Glen Hostel offers accommodation with a garden, free private parking and a shared lounge.

The room was clean and comfortable, plus it looked like it had been recently refurbished. The shower was good. The staff/owners were helpful and very friendly. We wished we had had dinner at the hostel because it looked nice and we would have preferred to eat there. The kitchenette was good, but their breakfasts looked good too.

Loved the place. Found the pot holes quite unbelievable.

Loved the place. Found the pot holes quite unbelievable. It’s a country wide problem I know, but I’ve never seen so many dangerous pot holes on the roads. Sadly we got Quite a big bill for the one we went over.

The views are simply stunning and beautiful.

The views are simply stunning and beautiful. Our room overlooked the loch simply stunning 😊 Would be nice to have had the property lit up for night travellers new to the area and location. Also would be lovely to meet the carers of the lodge too so face to face communication is readily avaliable for the lodge users. If staying with family be aware of noise from other people around the house as it can feel loud due to the lodge being small. Apart from that free parking and beautiful location of rural Scotland 😊

Great location, very friendly staff, clean and comfortable...

Great location, very friendly staff, clean and comfortable hotel. There s a cosy well stocked bar, a restaurant overlooking the loch and excellent service. The food is good with an Indian style although local dishes and produce are also well featured. The buffet breakfast is very good and will set you up for the day. The Hotel also offers guests without their own transport a drop off and collect service in the local area allowing one way walks to be planned. Self contained apartments are also available on site as is a Spa treatment service which my wife thoroughly recommends. This is one of three in the chain of Black Sheep hotels in the Highlands.

Re - Osprey Suite, Letterfinlay House Lodge. Arrival -

Re - Osprey Suite, Letterfinlay House Lodge. Arrival - On arrival we found the accommodation to be filthy and not Covid prepared. See pics of kitchen and sitting room. The deck furniture was rusty and not fit for use. The deck table had smear of sticky clear liquid on its surface. We were informed that complimentary wine was available for us - no complimentary wine was available for us. The accommodation claims “Extra health & safety measures” re Coronavirus. This is not apparent and doesn’t exist. Communication - We called the owner to make complaint re above within the hour of arrival. I informed him of the shocking presentation. His manner was initially defensive and then, very quickly, aggressive and unpleasant. He put the phone down on me, made no further offer of explanation or support and left my partner completely traumatised. We immediately left the property after the call. Verdict - Utterly appalling presentation of holiday accommodation and customer service - especially with prevalence of Covid and expected standards of hygiene. The owner has refused to reimburse our holiday fee - £470. We are liaising with booking.com and external tourism related advisors to recover our costs with added compensation for additional expenses and trauma that we incurred.

This is a great base for exploring the surrounding area either by foot or car with Fort William about 10 miles to the South. That is if you can draw yourself away from the hotel's relaxing atmosphere and stunning views!

We loved the character of this old hunting lodge which has had a very stylish make over. Everything is very high quality, including the service. We just had a standard double but our room was just lovely. Bed linen, fluffy bathrobes and towels are top notch and the bed massive and very comfy. The restaurant is also very good. It’s not cheap but the food is great and the menu has something for everyone. We really enjoyed the curries. We also enjoyed the cosy bar and enjoyed a very decent massage in the little spa.

If you want a 5 * luxury spa with bistro menu then this is not the place for you If you want to be treated like a guest and not a room number by people who care , in fabulous surroundings then stay here. These places are rare to find, where time has paused and quality has been maintained. The food is outstanding and service exceptional. Your own loch access and plenty to do in the area. No wonder guests return

Everything about our stay was incredible. If only we could have stayed longer. The room and the view was incredible. The staff were 10-steps ahead of us with anything we may have needed. The hotel bar was fully stocked and a cozy atmosphere. The food at the Restaurant was 10/10. The spa was able to book a couple’s massage with 30 minutes notice and the massage’s were so relaxing. Would absolutely recommend.

The Letterfinlay House is located in an amazing spot right on the lake! We loved the location! We actually wish that we could have stayed longer! The house was clean and we had the pleasure of meeting the hosts the day we checked out. They were very kind and informative about nearby attractions. We highly recommend this location for lodging while in Ft Williams!
