The location literally could not be any better, bang in the heart of the town with amazing views across the bay. Also it’s great value for money, the staff were great and a superb breakfast was included.

Hotel was really welcoming and staff throughout the stay were friendly, warm and professional. I stayed as solo traveller and was made to feel incredibly comfortable. Breakfast was a real highlight and the breakfast room had beautiful views of the water.

We paid for an upgraded room with a sea view which was excellent.
My car parking reserved space was fantastic it was Bay 1 right by the hotel door which made carrying our luggage so much easier.

A very peaceful location with many opportunities for woodland walks, and also for river leisure activities such as swimming and paddleboarding.
The village shop is well stocked with simple basics, as well as nice treats. The Ship Inn also does a good range of beers and ciders.
Be aware that the road beside the river can get flooded at high tide
