Loved everything about the place. Our room was the small room but was lovely and cosy. Lovely en suite. Breakfast was great and served with a smile. A very quirky and friendly country pub. Even got to listen to a local jazz band performing. The manager is very welcoming and obliging and deserves to do well. Thanks for a great overnight stay. We look forward to returning next time we're in the area.

The breakfast was at the adjacent but associated neighbouring property The Golden Lion. It was a good breakfast and if I'd got my brain together I would have booked the package at the Lion. No complaints about the bedroom. Quiet, clean, efficient furnishings, bathroom etc. I was also able to usage a storage room for my luggage on the day of departure to avoid trailing it round Northallerton for a couple of hours.

Great location for a break from mWay, super friendly and helpful staff, clean, comfortable. Even sorted me a packed lunch because I was leaving too early for breakfst; fantastic service. If I was going that way again, I wouldn’t hesitate to use it again. Strongly recommended.

Check in was easy and staff very pleasant. Room ready when checking in and very clean. Location of the rooms separate from the pub with a nice seating area outside. We had a evening meal in the restaurant and it was very good as was the full cooked breakfast in the morning.
