Walnut Apartment Larne, hotel in Larne

Walnut Apartment Larne is located in Larne, 38 km from The Waterfront Hall, 38 km from Titanic Belfast, and 40 km from The Belfast Empire Music Hall.

It was welcoming, the lights had been turned on for us as our flight was delayed and it was dark and wet when we arrived so really appreciated that. Plus it smelt fresh and clean when we walked in. My bed was very comfortable and there was extra pillows etc in wardrobe. There was a welcome basket with drinks and snacks. Tea and coffee etc in kitchen. I loved the step stool, so I could get in bath and have a shower, as I was a bit worried about it but that was my problem, I may be disabled but I don’t like to think I can’t do this but was really pleased because I managed to get in and out using stool and shower door. Wish I thought of that before changing my bathroom into a shower room.

Larne was fine , Unfortunately on the way we encountered a parade of Orangemen and felt very intimidated as we sat in our Irish reg car to the chants from parade participants, if fact driving through lovely towns like Carrickfergus we felt very unwelcomed by all the ulster flags displayed everywhere.

Good location for accessing other sights/tourist places. Well served by public transport. Good promenade for relatively flat walking. The Olderfleet bar does a roaring trade, best to book to make sure you can get a table.

Larne is my home town and I was visiting family. The B&B is right beside the harbour if you are travelling by boat. It is a nice town but not much going on. There is easy access to the main road to Belfast and other places.

The gateway to the Glens along the Coast Road from Larne to the north every beach and village/town is different and appealing to individual likes. Everytime I come back I can go to the same places along the coast and find something new this must be one of the best coastlines in the "world" The local restaurants and small cafes offer good local, home cooked/baked delights, all locally sourced from sea or land and the hospitality is unbeatable.

Perfect for Larne ferry port, it's just a few minutes away. Nice big rooms, friendly helpful staff (a special mention to Abigail, who sorted out an invoicing issue as we had to cancel a room with short notice, this was our fault NOT the hotels ) The restaurant looked very good but unfortunately as this was a very brief business trip, we didn't have time to eat there.

The hotel is in a great location. We were warmly welcomed as soon as we arrived at the hotel. We really liked our room. Our room was 5th room. I really liked their omelette. I would recommend it to other visitors. Omelet with cheese and mushrooms.
