Everything far exceeded our expectations. This bed and breakfast is much better than many of the hotels that we have stayed in. Nothing was too much trouble. The food was excellent. A very enjoyable stay.

A lovely apartment for 2. Feels cosy from the moment you walk in. Well equipped kitchen, comfy beds. We were walking in the area, so also benefitted from having Kingsbridge bus station in walking distance.

The main high street has artisan shops and is good to browse round but to get there the bottom area is not so attractive. Good outside coffee/breccie stop at Mangetout Deli and good coffee at Fika. Views on estuary lovely. Nowhere in evening to eat with outside seating in town other than the Crabbe Inn along the Estuary.

The accommodation is not within walking distance of Kingsbridge which is around 7 miles away. Kingsbridge is a lovely town, we have family there, but did not stay around there - Blackpool Sands and Torcross/Slapton Sands are a short drive away and I recommend visiting these too.

Everything but one pub was shut on Sunday!
Everything but one pub was shut on Sunday!
Otherwise, picturesque, lots of independent shops as well as supermarkets, clean and tidy. Everything was walking distance from our flat.
We chose Kingsbridge for the Wild Artichokes restaurant. Its location is awful but the food and service were excellent. In the other pubs and restaurants, the price of a main course is £15 - £22.

The cottage was lovely and once you are there is in a fabulous location. The tight lanes to get to the property can be tricky to navigate especially at night and in the rain. Oncoming traffic can be an issue if there is not a lay-by or pull-in area nearby. It can of course be done with caution and the locals do thank you for reversing to the most appropriate passing place.

We’ve always loved the millbrook inn, so we were very excited to see the cottages become available. The owners have made them stunning and I highly recommend for a relaxing break away from it. So quiet, pretty and comfortable.

Kingsbridge is such a pretty area of Devon and the local people are really lovely. Bentham beach is the most beautiful beach with views that will leave you awestruck. The mountains are really nice to go for an adventurous walk
Very nice, clean kitchen/diner/lounge and very comfortable bed. Owner was very helpful with providing washing powder as we had been traveling for some time and needed to wash some clothes. Tea and coffee and fresh milk were provided, along with chocolate biscuits. The location is a little bit out of Kingsbridge and up some steep hills so we could take an evening stroll into town, but on the other hand the house backed onto fields and the area was nice and quiet. It was just right for us for two nights.
We had a superb evening meal - steak and ale pie and burger both homemade delicious and a great sized portion and good value for money.
We enjoyed a pre dinner drink on the terrace at the back of the property which was well situated with a great view of surrounding countryside and very relaxing.
Great location just 5 mins drive from Kingsbridge
Sue John and team were very friendly and welcoming-thank you for a great stay we will be back.
Absolutely lovely host, a real "bed and breakfast" atmosphere. An easy 15 minute walk from the bus stop in Kingsbridge, or a quick 2 minute taxi ride. The farm and grounds are beautiful and the room itself is massive like a suite. Heated floors in bathroom with a sizeable tub and separate shower. I will definitely stay here again when I am in Kingsbridge.
The host even gave me a ride into town this morning so I didn't have to walk in the rain!
Absolutely LOVED this property in a fab location a short drive into Kingsbridge for supermarket ,restaurants or takeaway. Short drive to stunning beaches Bantham and Bigbury on Sea .We hope to stay at this property ,again an extra added touch of a cream tea and a bottle of wine on arrival definitely worth a 5 star rating.
Very comfortable. Delicious breakfast (including good coffee, fresh fruit, home made jam). Friendly, helpful and responsive hosts.
Great location, especially for SW Coast Path (buses to Salcombe and Dartmouth 2 minutes'walk away). About 10 minutes' walk down hill into Kingsbridge, with a choice of pubs and restaurants.
The surrounding area is very pretty but Kingston looks near to Kingsbridge/Salcombe it is actually much more remote than it looks on the map. Some roads out of village are really narrow and it took a lot longer to travel around area than we expected. Breakfast good. Pub and rooms very quaint and picturesque
Clean and spacious, in an excellent location. Parking space a luxury in Kingsbridge. Bedding was hotel style and towels pristine clean. The apartment was super clean and excellent location for pubs and shops overlooking the end of estuary and market square. Easy to catch a bus into busy Salcombe.
Great location, couldn't get enough photos
of the sunsets. The lodge was lovely with large comfy bed and a massive decking area, Tim and Helen were very nice hosts. Very handy for Kingsbridge, Salcombe, Dartmouth and Plymouth. Would definitely go back.
Location was very picturesque, surrounded by farmland and not far from Kingsbridge. The accommodation was cosy and fully equipped for a self catering stay. It suited our needs perfectly for a short stay in Devon before catching the ferry in Plymouth.
We liked the quietness in the hotel. That gave us a luxuxy feeling. We were not able to have breakfast in the morning because we had to leave early. The lady owner made a packet for us to take with us with bread drinks and fruits.
the room & particularly the bathroom were lovely. The breakfast was awesome. Host let us come & go and allowed us to use her conservatory which had an amazing view of the estuary. Joan was a really lovely host, truly devonian.
The most beautiful hotel in a stunning location. We were so well looked after by wonderful hosts Chris and Katy. Loved everything about this place- the breakfast, grounds, decor, our room….. all perfect. Will definitely return.
The location was close to Kingsbridge and an easy walk to local shops and restaurants.
The home is spacious and plenty of room for 4 people
Lots of lovely decorative touches which make you feel like you are in Devon.
Fabulous stay, we loved the accommodation, spotless, everything we needed and comfortable. Great hosts and great location in beautiful Kingsbridge will be back. Dee, Jase, bells and Betsy the doggies x
Breakfast was very good with plenty of choice. Good pubs for evening meals nearby. Quiet location in beautifully maintained house. Spacious bathroom with constant hot water.
A wonderful secret hideaway type of lodge, with fabulous view over coastal South Hams and sea. A comfortable and clean base from which to explore this part of South Devon.
Great location, easy check in, parking. Really nicely equipped, modern and comfortable. 5 mins walk into Kingsbridge. We would definitely recommend staying here.
