It’s a lovely big house in a nice area. The location for us was fantastic as we came down from Halifax to visit the safari park; which was approximately 15 minutes away from where we were staying. There is an Aldi and a Morrisons a short drive away, which again was ideal. The garden is massive and well maintained. Our kids loved the trampoline and the swing.

Great place for a short stay. Near the town and easy to find. Road parking was easy. What's not to love about an attic room? Kettle, tea, coffee in room. Shower good.
Renowned for its superb cuisine and excellent service, this traditional country house is set in 70 acres of tranquil parkland and dates back over 300 years.

We loved that the hot tub was ready on arrival,
We liked the decoration and home furnishings of the property.
We loved that there are 3 bathrooms and plenty of space in the property.
We liked that there was a good selection of kitchenware/glasses
Location albeit busy was near a local sainsbury supermarket amongst other facilities.
The house sits back on a main road but noise is very slight. Doesn't impact on sleep etc.
Beds super comfy, great to have little shower gels etc provided.
Set in Kidderminster, 18 km from Lickey Hills Country Park, Shenstone Lodge offers accommodation with a garden, free private parking, a restaurant and a bar.
The experience was very unpleasant. Radiators in rooms in the winter should be working to full capacity, the room had one radiator and it was not working properly. Windows should shut, shower should have hot water.
The room was classed as a Junior Suite with a metal four poster bed. There was a very misleading picture on Bookings.com for this room showing the bed, and stating it had a large bathroom, and that it was a Junior Suite.
The ROOM WAS A ROOM. NOT A JUNIOR SUITE.
THE DESCRIPTION OF THIS ROOM WAS TOTALLY UNTRUE. THERE WAS NO SEPARATE SEATING AREA.
IT WAS IN FACT QUITE A SMALL ROOM.

The Severn Valley Railway was the best feature of Kidderminster.
Forget trying to get a meal after 6pm, unless you want Chinese, Indian or junk food.
Failing to find anywhere, we went for Indian, which was okay. Very friendly staff. I'm not sure why we were shoved by the tolley, next to a huge party though, when there were multiple tables available!

We visited the town centre in the afternoon and it shocked us how the economy had affected Kidderminster.
Shops are in decline with about 20% occupancy.
Worcester isn’t far away and thriving as a comparison.
Kidderminster Council needs to be ashamed for how they have destroyed this town.

Kidderminster has an interesting Carpet Museum, and there is the local safari park nearby, Stourport-upon-Severn and Bewdley with a museum. Most of all it is the home of the Severn Valley Railway (SVR) which goes to Bridgenorth for a nice day out where you can also rise the cliff railway from high town to low town and the river Severn. Oposite the SVR is 'Captain Cod's' recommended for a nice 'fish supper' with batter bits and potato scallops! Kidderminster is also ideal for being within striking distance of the Black Country Museum. We were visiting family and friends in Kidderminster. Next time we will definitely stay in Railway Retreat Number 4 Comberton Terrace, Kidderminster again so we can see our family and friends and also use it as a base to visit the Black Country Museum, Kinver Caves and the SVR.

This is BY FAR the best accommodation we have ever chosen from the hundreds of thousands available.
Our feedback says it all.
You want for NOTHING at this venue, and if it's not there.... you didn't need it.
Hazel is a very nice host and willing to help where she can.
The venue quality was above expectations. We WILL be back, and the sooner the better.
Cosy little house which is just around the corner from the Severn Valley Railway Experience, which was perfect for us. There is a Tesco Express and a good Indian restuarant across the road which was also handy. The accommodation was clean and comfortable and warmed up quickly once you put the heating on. The host had bought a pint of milk for us which was nice. There was a mirror and chair upstairs at which I could dry my hair and put my make-up on - always an important factor with self-catering or a hotel!
The location of the apartment was nice quiet apart from morning traffic the train station in Kidderminster is a very nice place to visit but I wasn't keen on the town its not a great place to be but maybe that's just me I don't like ignorance just because it's obvious your not from the area most people were nice but some are not I'm happy with where I stayed the blue bell pub with Tracey as land lady is a very good pub to visit it's just a good down to earth place with nice people
A beautiful old manor house in extensive gardens with a large car park.
The room was large, clean and comfortable with a modern clean bathroom.
Evening meal in the restaurant was good.
The lady on reception lent me a phone charger as I had left mine in the previous nights hotel.
Beautiful hotel, all the rooms, ie bar, restaurant etc were very elegant and our bedroom was gorgeous The grounds were also really nice. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Highlight was the evening meal which was outstanding
furnished to a high standard with plenty of little hotel style luxuries including tea coffee, bathroom miniatures extra blankets, pillows etc as well as all the amenities of a self catering home. absolutely the best of all worlds
