The shower was nice and powerful, the location although not glamorous was great for me travelling for work as I just needed something cheap where I could charge my EV overnight.

Location was excellent but if you have little ones you'll need to keep an eye on them. Food excellent with a special mention to Breakfast where the Scrambled eggs were the best I've ever had.

The room was comfortable, and the staff were all lovely and welcoming. The Star is just a few minutes from the town centre and some lovely cafes and unique shops, and has an idyllic beer garden with riverside seating.
Had a midweek stay and there was no noise from bar area heard in the room, and very little from outside terrace (none from about 11pm).
There was also no noise from other rooms and only a little from the corridor.
I didn't get to try the Brunch Club since I was there on the two days it isn't open, but the menu looks delicious and hope to try next time!
