Home cooked casserole was excellent. Bed was very comfortable.

We were walking the west highland way. The property was a fair walk uphill from the Inversnaid hotel but the staff at the bunkhouse kindly picked us up. Very friendly team of staff. Accommodation was very comfortable. Small rooms but coy and clean. Shared bathroom was clean and showers in separate building at back of property also clean and nice hot showers.
The crème de la crème had to be the food. I would say 5* quality. Everything was delicious. Couldn’t fault the place.

A comfortable night, good food and friendly staff made a perfect start to our Scottish holday.
On the banks of Loch Long, The Arrochar Hotel boasts loch views and free parking and free WiFi. Situated at the foot of the Arrochar Alps, it also has a traditional Scottish restaurant.
Housed within a historic, baronial building, The Tarbet Hotel is situated in the iconic destination Loch Lomond.

This was our favourite place to stay during our trip to Scotland. The staff went above and beyond for us, accommodating an unannounced early check-in and upgrading us to a more spacious room. The building is old, but its warm, inviting, and well cared for. Dinner in the restaurant was good and the location can't be beat, especially if you're traveling by bus and hoping to spend time on Loch Lomond.
Located in the heart of the Loch Lomond National Park in the village of Arrochar, Lochside Guest House offers a traditional Scottish or continental breakfast as well as beautifully decorated bedrooms...
We stayed here when doing the West Highland Way long walk...
We stayed here when doing the West Highland Way long walk and this accomodation was basic as expected. The staff were really welcoming and helpful and the food was the best we had from the 6 different stops we made on the walk. We would stay here again.

Location and rooms were wonderful.
Location and rooms were wonderful.
Everything was well arranged but it would have been nice to have got a welcome when we arrived. Left to ourselves was very easy and convenient and Kelly was very kind and informative the next day on the farm tour (recommended).
Just felt a bit left out in arrival.

Fabulous!
Fabulous! The room was lovely, nice decor and everything you could need, even the mirror in the bathroom had a magnifying section which is handy when you are blind as a bat and putting on make up! Views are outstanding and just so peaceful. Hosts were amazing, nothing too much trouble, even made up a sofa bed for my daughter when we arrived. Had a tour of the smallholding the next morning after a fab breakfast thanks to Paul. So interesting how this couple have made this their home and business. Could not have been any more helpful, would thoroughly recommend and will defo be back. Thank you Paul and Kelly X

Excellent as a one night stay while touring/travelling.
Excellent as a one night stay while touring/travelling.
Camping is also an option on the lawn and using the facilities/restaurant.
Possibly not great for a long stay as holiday options better from Aberfoyle or Callander or Balloch

Amazing views, ferry service to tarbet good.
Amazing views, ferry service to tarbet good. Unless you like walking and admiring amazing scenery theres not much else to do. Great for a short getaway to countryside. Super stop over for those doing west highland way - little haven for those brave souls!
Hotel was shut on our stay. We were in bunkhouse, great accommodation, really good food! Hot tub facility (closed for our stay also due to covid😭)

31st October is obviously the end of the 'tourists season'...
31st October is obviously the end of the 'tourists season' here as a good few of the local eateries were closed and we had to travel into Aberfoyle and back each night for food. This road is one road up and the same road back, it is single track and VERY twisty and hilly subsequently not a good road at night!
Clean room, comfy bed. We were able to get a ride up to the bunkhouse from the hotel as we were walking.
The food was excellent and a good selection of beers. All staff were really friendly and helpful.
Continental breakfast selection was good.
They provided a nice clean (looked brand new!) bed for our dog, us and the dog slept really well!!
I also thought the £10 additional charge for the dog was fair (we have paid an unreasonable amount more in other places).
The place is a bit off from Inversnaid in a very quiet location. Tip for the WHW hikers, it is apparently possible to get a pickup from Inversnaid.
The main building is a really interesting converted church.
The guys running the place are super friendly and helpful.
The room was all we needed for the night.
The food at the restaurant was amazing and the beers and ales selection awesome!
The packed lunch was fantastic too!
The location was amazing, felt really remote and peaceful, and super close to the West Highland Way. The main building was beautiful, with a really well stocked bar, and the cabin my room was part of was really comfortable. The staff were super friendly, knowledgeable and helpful - even picking me up late from town one night at short notice. Really enjoyed my stay, wish it could have been for longer!
A bit like a bohemian hostel, a really delightful place.
Accomodations range from tent sites, to 2 twin beds with shared bathroom, to large family bedrooms.
Breakfast was modest but adequate & very reasonably priced.
Bistro -restaurant served a variety of dishes, &everything I had was excellent, from soup to mains to dessert.
Would stay again.
It's a pretty location. On a more practical point, it's only a mile from the West Highland Way, handy for walkers when other places (like the big Inversnaid hotel) are closed.
Inversnaid might be a long way from the nearest shops, but they have a little shed which functions as an honesty box for snacks & drinks.
We had the breakfast and it was amazing, a huge selection of freshly sourced food, it kept us going all day!! We also took the farm tour, it was very informative both about the history of the Garrison Of Inversnaid and Paul and Kelly's journey to make this place so brilliant. Can't wait to go back.
The team at Inversnaid Bunkhouse is helpful, kind, awesome, the food was delicious and the special atmosphere of this place is amazing. You can also camp in the garden and there is a dry room if your clothes/tent are wet. Great place to stay before going further the road.
The couple running the accommodation were extremely friendly and happy to help with any questions. The slow cooked dinner and breakfast were high quality. The location was fantastic being up on the hillside above Inversnaid with beautiful views over the countryside.
This property is beautiful and has such an interesting history.
We ordered dinner from our host and it was delicious.
Our stop while walking the West Highland Way was comfortable and it was a treat to enjoy the hot tub in the evening.
We have stayed at the Garrison before, and it was so lovely to be able to return. Kelly and Paul are just fantastic hosts. There is nothing not to love about the Garrison of Inversnaid and its owners. We'll be back again soon.
It's owned by a chef and the food was excellent. The atmosphere was cheerful and fun. The bunkhouse was what you'd expect from a hostel but it was perfect. The staff was terrific.
Kerri is great, drove us (my son and me) from inversnaid hotel to garrison.
Place is magnificent. Animals and views to die for.
Next time will definitely book it again!
Very helpful and friendly staff, less than one mile from the West Highland Way. Food was great and we were able to get a packed lunch for our next day.
