Locality to the airport. High standards of Hampton by Hilton
I was there for an international lay over. Completely recommend going to The Tavern pub. I went to Wetherspoons first and whilst it was cheaper, the atmosphere in The Tavern was hilarious. I am still laughing about it now a day later.

I would never stay there again.
I would never stay there again. They accept dogs, but don't give allowance for it, the room is to small. Our Bed was comfortable, but this is the only positive thing I can say. The dinner service was shocking, we had to wait for a starter over 3/4 of an hour and there were only 3 further guests there. We also questioned how much longer we will have to wait and were told "it takes as long as it takes." As the starter took so long we have also ordered a Caesar salad which did not arrive (it should be served before the food!) So we had to cancel over an argument with the waiter . The " gentleman" carried on shouting 10 minutes after we left in the kitchen so that all the visitors in their bedrooms and restaurant could hear him. We have complaint there and then at the reception and I do hope our complaint has gone further. One thing is for sure if they do allow dogs then there should be water bowls, poo bags (I take my own, but not all dog owners do) and also a designated area where they can do their business. I will NEVER stay there again and make sure enough people I know get to know about it.

Love the proximity to the terminal and the ease to reach it.
Love the proximity to the terminal and the ease to reach it. Would be better if there were decaf coffee & tea in the room and hot breakfast entrees available earlier. No USB ports in my room on the first floor.
There were loads in higher level so bring your converter. Otherwise, as expected having stayed there before.

To get to the airport was easy!
To get to the airport was easy! When you leave the guesthouse you take a right out of the gate. Cross the street to the bus stop. Take bus # 100 2 stops to the airport. It only will cost you 2 pounds and it runs a few times an hour week days.

Horley is a small town, so it is walkable, quaint and lovely. It also has a great train station within walking distance with staff there to help you get to where you are going, which we loved because we were traveling from the US. The train station had access to all the fun things in London with an affordable price for lodging in the area. We did stay in London for a week prior to coming to Horley and unfortunately we listened all night to the sounds of traffic, ambulance blaring up the road at 3 am and loud voices of those that hit the pub too long. I wish we could have stayed in Horley the whole time instead of London and simply taken the train in to see the sights. It would have made sleeping at night so much more enjoyable and saved us money on lodging. We really loved this town and if we come back to London again, we are staying in Horley.
The staff were very welcoming and great throughout our stay, we dined at the hotel's restaurant which was good. The surrounding of the hotel is in a nice area and close to Gatwick Airport which is what we needed the stay for.
Good location close to Gatwick and walking distance to Wetherspoons and other Horley amenities. Weather not good so returned to hotel to eat - very good lamb madras and lasagne. Very good budget hotel.
We happened upon this excellent hotel after our flight from Gatwick was cancelled. A lovely hotel, near the village of Horley, with friendly, cheery staff, comfortable rooms, shuttle to & from airport.
Very n8ce, friendly, clean, well furnished hotel with nice bathroom. Short walk from Horley Station and bus stop over road for bus to Gatwick.terminals.
