Friendlishy staff. Good size room. Clean .Even had a toaster (but I had no bread). Huge TV but not new enough to be able to be connect to the Internet (this, perhaps, should be a 'didn't like' comment ').
The White Horse is a beautiful Grade II-listed pub in the heart of Dorking with atmospheric dining areas, serving an award-winning fresh and seasonal menu, and a cosy oak beamed bar with fireplace.

We found this hotel to be great value. The staff were lovely and the grounds are brilliant. We asked for a quiet room with a bath and were granted this easily, meaning we had a spacious room & comfortable stay. The pool was enjoyable. The grounds are pretty, and suggested walks are really fantastic - we took a walk to another village for lunch.
The weddings taking place were not at all distruptive to other guests, and the hotel is decorated well.

I thought it was lovely and clean and tidy, the staff were really nice, certainly the lady who checked me in and served me at dinner was really very lovely. Would definitely stay again.
Set in 9 acres of parkland, the hotel is well placed for Guildford, Woking and the M25. There is free WiFi throughout the hotel, and free parking on site.

We had a 'superior' room which was comfy and well appointed. Strangely there were no plug sockets by the hardboard and the bedroom walls are paper thin so you hear everything from your neighbours either side. Dinner in the restaurant was excellent though they add 12.5% service charge to your bill and you can't add it to your bill, which is annoying. Being situated in a few acres on the Surrey Hills, needless to say the views in all directions are lush.
It has a spa annexe behind the hotel, pool, massages, hot tub and an outside hot tub on a south facing terrace beyond that. However treatments are not cheap.
There is also a sunny terrace outside the front of the hotel, which is a bit of a gem for an afternoon drink.
So all in all a mixed bag. Staff were friendly, some noticeable more helpful than others. The hard sell at check in wasn't welcomed but would I stay there again? Yes but only in the summer when there was decent weather.
Situated in Cranleigh and with Box Hill reachable within 28 km, The White Hart pub and rooms features a garden, non-smoking rooms, free WiFi throughout the property and a bar.
