The breakfast was excellent with a choice of continental or cooked food. The eggs royale were superb and the service was wonderful. The room was full of character and very clean. I have a garlic intolerance and they ensured my food was suitable which they could do as they prepare their meals from scratch. The staff were so friendly and helpful. This is one of the best hotels we have ever stayed in and we'd be very happy to revisit it.

Location was easy to find, parking at the property was free of charge, however you will need to leave keys at reception as cars double parked. I found this a little daunting but all was ok. Bed a little uncomfortable as too soft for my liking but this is personal preference. Room amazingly clean and great decor. Food for breakfast ample and hot/fresh. Staff amazing and helpful

I love the friendly staff. The building is beautiful architecturally. The windows are amazing. The spiral staircase to the room is delightful though there is a lift too. Everything is clean and comfortable. I had everything I needed. It is located right in the centre of Shrewsbury - shops, cafes, transport links are all nearby. I had a tasty chicken caesar salad in the restaurant area on arrival. I stayed in the Queen Victoria room which had a lovely view of blossom trees, Darwins statue and other beautiful buildings in Shrewsbury. It's a lovely place to stay.
