We were upgraded to a bigger room; great position; helpful staff, although had to advise on how to chill wine (you need iced water, not just ice). Dinner was quite good; breakfast was very good.

Beautiful country pub in a great location, pet friendly and lovely staff. We have quite a reactive dog who reacts badly to busy environments so when we explained this to staff they were very helpful in finding us tables in the pub where Polly would be happy. The food is very good! All sourced locally and well priced. Traditional pub food but to a very high standard. Highly recommended for anyone wanting a base for lots of beautiful walks.

The setting is excellent with great views of the dales all around. The staff were very friendly. Food was good. Beer was excellent . Breakfast was very tasty.
