The room was lovely and spacious with fabulous views of the local countryside. The staff, when they were around, were very helpful. However, we did struggle to find anyone at reception when we arrived to check-in, even tried to phone while waiting in case that brought someone out but it didn't. Eventually located a staff member in the kitchen who gave us our room key.

The staff were welcoming and efficient. The room was clean and comfortable and it was in a nice quiet location by the river. The food was very good and reasonably priced.

I was able to get a very nice evening meal after a rather long day of work and travelling. Great for anyone travelling alone, as it is quiet but not far away from the gentle hum of others enjoying the location and all that it offers!
