I preferred not to be faced with a full English breakfast every morning. There was a reasonable selection of cereals, fruit, bread, etc.
Bathroom was large and the shower was powerful. Bed was comfortable.

I never went to Glasbury as The River Cafe no longer operates snd although my payment was taken, but my booking was.never made. Do not book this place on Booking.com as it does not exist any more. I am waiting for my refund. I am so disappointed with Booking.com as they don’t listen when I tell them that The River cafe does not operate any more. I know this because the former owner contacted me when they got my booking through Booking.com.

A very nice hotel in a quiet location near Hay on Wye.
A very nice hotel in a quiet location near Hay on Wye. Breakfast was very good and the rooms were comfortable and of a high specification. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Plenty of parking on site.
Cwmbach Lodge is exceptional - I stay in a lot of different hotels and b&bs for work and pleasure and this is the first time I can say a place was truly exceptional. stunning location, peaceful, tasteful decor, great breakfast, lots of attention to detail and really friendly hosts.
Breakfast was great, and the room was good; I had trouble with wifii but that may have been my fault, TV reception was better than I have usually experienced in Glasbury; I was not able to read by my bedside light but other side was ok so new bulb needed in room 5!
The perfect stay in quaint Glasbury - a well appointed room that was clean and comfortable, and a short walk from the nearest pub and restaurant. The room is nicely decorated and gets lovely afternoon sunlight, we would highly recommend.
