The oldest part of Black Mountain Lodge is believed to date back to the 17th century. It has ample free parking.

We stopped here at the last moment after traveling for 24+ hours from the US. They were able to accommodate us on short notice and let us check in early - we slept 16 hours in a very comfy bed and woke up almost jet lag free the next morning to a delicious breakfast. Would highly recommend the pizza for dinner! It was a perfect start to our honeymoon, and we can't wait to come back when we move to Wales in a couple years.

Our twin-room had sole use of the bathroom along the same corridor - again spotlessly clean, and lovely hot shower for tired walkers. My son and I enjoyed the quality evening meal in the restaurant, and a great night’s kip thanks to comfy mattresses and the quiet ambience. Decent continental breakfast (including boiled egg, ham/cheese slices), buffet-style to set you up for the day - you won’t leave hungry! Really well-run, modest hotel that met our needs perfectly, great value for money and would visit again. Thank you all! 🙏
